Looks, sounds very inviting. Will most likely grab one soon. Thanks for making this video!

You’re welcome, thanks for watching.

Great video as always. It’s crazy to be living in this timeline with all the choices and price ranges for synths.

And with how accessible it’s become to record your own music.

$500 is a great price point for what you get.

Has anyone tried to integrate this into a Maschine MK3? Can't seem to join it up to that device. Any help is appreciated!
@craigwilliamsmusicАй бұрын
You should be able to connect the midi out of the mk3 to the midi in on the Polyend and then connect the audio cables.

Can you share individual parts with a DAW somehow? Seems like you can’t but it’d be pretty sweet if you could
@craigwilliamsmusic20 күн бұрын
There is no way to bring the parts in on their own tracks, you would need to record each of the parts individually.

If you’re playing with a MIDI controller and have all three sounds set to the same channel, will it just function as a layer?
@craigwilliamsmusicАй бұрын
That is 100% correct. You could make a little multi layered instrument doing it that way.

@ - sounds like a great idea for bass and lead patches. I’ve already made a bass scene with each engine being duophonic. It would just be a matter of figuring out which tones mix well.
@craigwilliamsmusicАй бұрын
I would start with ripping through some of the presets and see what works. It’s always good to try some presets to try and get those happy accidents.
@MatthewChristianMurrayАй бұрын
@ - thing is, this is SO easy to program. I’ve set up a bass, a lead, and a pad layer already, and I think 8 of the 9 sounds among them were programmed from scratch. (One of the bass sounds is a slightly modified preset.) Last night I made a pad that includes a monophonic FM steelpan (arpeggiated by default but obviously that can be turned off), a 3-voice PD brass sound that can be turned into a metallic noise via aftertouch, and a 4-voice VAP string sound. I’ve played them together manually, but obviously I will need to use a controller to get a better feel for how they work together.

Can you sequence chords? Like have a chord progression and then have the other two synths follow them?
@AlexFainDjАй бұрын
There is a lot of white noise in background, is the instrument?
@zemax0618Ай бұрын
Nope! Sound is pure without any artefacts. Probably coming from the Mixer or audio interface.
@craigwilliamsmusic20 күн бұрын
I can 100% say that there is no noise coming from the Synth.

Can I mix this with my drumbrute impact, model 15, korg monologue and moog dfam? So mix analog and digital?

Can you program this with the play I can't find any videos.

Looks like a ton of menu diving and button clicking. Looks like it needs a touch screen or more knobs per function
@BrockDavissonАй бұрын
Nope, not much of a menu diving synth. Some pages but nothing like roland.
@brawndothethirstmutilator9848Ай бұрын
The menu diving is pretty light. It’s designed with live performance in mind.
@craigwilliamsmusicАй бұрын
Once you get a scene or instrument set up there isn’t much in the way of menu diving. You can also set the Macro’s to control multiple functions. That’s how I have mine set. I can just reach for a macro to open a filter, increase the release for a build in a song.

Looks menudivey

To set up a scene there is a little bit to get it going but once it’s sorted it’s pretty hands on.

What's with the really loud hissing background noise on this video?
@craigwilliamsmusic20 күн бұрын
I will have to check my connections and see what was causing this. I can 100% say that it wasn’t the synth.
