65k Read first. the "now what" in the thumbnail was because I had a Brian fart 😕 Must of been a bad connection. For some reason my mind thought 6.5 ohms giving a commutator at rest sounded reasonable giving other variables~ but 65k clearly wrong 🙈 I opiligize

high resistance and wandering meter is classic sign of an open circuit, which you found to be the pump.
@brianbirc
@brianbirc 6 жыл бұрын
robinsonauto I am a Brian and when I fart it makes a noise from gas coming out my A hole and you can smell it. Sometimes a lot of smell sometimes not so bad. Never used my thumb nail or thumb at all when I fart. Not sure about my resistance oms or what my commutator even is. 65K ? how do I know I do not measure how much I walk or run. I suggest not using your thumb at Brians ass when he has a fart. It would be a punch to the face from me with no permission and that is far from likely.

I like that at key points your video overlays the wiring diagram on the screen at the same time you are doing the specific task. I can pause and see exactly what you are doing. This helps me relate what you are doing to the wiring diagram in my Haynes manual. Good job. KEEP IT UP.

Nice. You ask what I assume at 1:35. Based on your initial questions, he could have a bad PRE-PUMP in the tank, there are TWO Fuel pumps for that car. By the way, a lot of car-owners don;t know what " Cycling the Key" even means. I would pour fuel in the fuel injection boot, after the filter assembly, usually I just add it to the spot where the crank-case ventilator pumps blow-by into your incoming fresh air. BRILLIANT DESIGN.

Open circuit relay control side power good; load side power good however on the control side no ground, test light does not light the ground side of relay control coil, test light doesn't light up when test light is on bat positive. Is this an open on wire within harness or a bad computer driver? Car starts runs fine, when I jump the load side corolla 2000 CE. I was having the same issue After i got a call from my wife saying her car wouldn't start ok so i checked it and it had a good Battery it wanted to start but wouldn't....everything on the car was working....tried jump starting it anyway still nothing i heard it all timing chain...starter...alternator and to me none of that made sense so i took off the wheel and when to work and yes indeed after taking off the belt my wife's car did start up. So i checked the ac pulley and it would not move so i took off the clutch and the bearings to the pulley fell out. The compressor did not lock up the pulley did so it prevented the belt from turning. After replacing clutch and pulley as well as the coil on the compressor everything is back working normally i hope this do help someone because it had me lost for words.

Daughters 04 cavalier "cranks, will not start," which brings me to searching for quick references and your video. Great point to point troubleshooting technique! One question: I've many cases where people swap relays from A/C to fuel pump stating "Don't really need A/C right now anyway." Doesn't the A/C help with defrosting and/or defogging the windows and air inside the cockpit? Sorry, that could be perceived as passive-aggressive because I know that it does. Just curious as to why people say that. I would appreciate your input on this subject. Thanks! Take care of your back. No one else can. Jody S Schwartz Jack of all, Master of none

At 3:15, you did indeed state the obvious. You could have added fuel manually, bypassing the fuel injection computer, both fuel pumps, and at least eliminated the compression, or the spark. But, you have a big tool, one that nobody has at home. good for you.

I have a 1994 Chrysler Concorde that cranked fine but wouldn't fire a single time. Turns out it was the anti-theft system going bonkers and turning off the injectors. The anti theft needed to be reset for it to start. Each make is different but mine involved using the key to lock and unlock the driver side door in a certain order. The problem would resolve itself for days/weeks before returning. The car had ALWAYS started immediately when cranked so I suspected it was something quirky. Only after a lucky internet search did I finally find that anti-theft systems often act like this.

I have an 06-07 Pontiac Vibe. It died on the freeway last week. No sound at the pump, no fuel in the cylinders. Good spark. Replaced the pump assembly (I also went with the Delphi assembly from AutoZone), but still won't start. Cranks, but won't turn over. Still no sound at the pump. Tested the EFI relay and it's good (even tried replacing it with another relay that works). Same with all the other EFI fuses, no problems there. Am I just tracking down a loose wire? I'm losing my mind trying to figure out the next step.

That's funny. I was going to watch this video earlier but then I saw Spanky on like and well...she's better looking than you. LOL Now on with your video before she comes back. She's a hoot with those kids. Man your editing is great!

Make sure you get an upgrade for your test light....It involves a bench grinder and safety glasses. If done correctly, you can poke holes in wires all day long, LOL. I feel more manly when I use my violet test light, it matches the carpet...
