The guys and gals working at Naughty dog are truly geniuses when it comes to technical side. Crash bandicoot did it in PS1 and later jak and daxter became the first open world game that is possible to be played from start to finish without seeing a loading screen.

Hassan Mostafa I really loved the comedy in Twinsanity too! It was random, it was ridiculous, it broke the fourth wall and I loved it! All the old Sony mascots aren't getting much love these days. Crash, Spyro, Sly Cooper, and especially Jak and Daxter. I haven't seen a true Naughty Dog Jak and Daxter game in over a decade.

Sony and Nintendo were both in the wrong, Sony for greedily trying to get total rights to the entire Nintendo PlayStation library and Nintendo for partnering with Phillips behind Sony's back instead of simply re-negotiating the contract for the PlayStation.

Yeah, these days it might be seen as immature, but that doesn't really matter. Anybody remember the Crash Bandicoot ad with him shouting through a megaphone in front of Nintendo headquarters? That also hasn't stopped them from taking jabs at one another on Twitter. Naming a cartoon villain after an actual rival company wouldn't really be mudslinging, unless they blatantly set it up just to bash them. N. Tendo isn't quite close enough to cause a trademark issue on it's own, and Nintendo itself is comprised of three separate, common words. You could just as well argue that it refers to the same source, tengu and their shrines. If setup as a parody, and following a theme, they would likely be fine.

Yeah....uh..That's totally wrong. Mark Mothersbaugh has a studio called mutato muzika. At the time he had an employee named Josh Mancell, he is the composer for all known Crash themes (And Jack & Daxter). Mark did absolutely nothing, he just owns the studio. Did you know; I only bought a PS4 for BLOPS3 so I could play zombies splitscreen with my dudes, but now am so hyped for the new N'Sane trilogy which has given me a reason to use the system once again. It needed stuff like that it was reading the disk faster than the drive was intended, and actually loading stuff into memory as you progressed through the level, as the PlayStation had very little memory to work with. And the vector animation they used meant they had to give up on textures, so they just stuck with gradients.

How did you guys not talk about the canceled game Crash Evolution, which was going to be Crash Twinsanity before pretty much all of it was scrapped due to deadlines. Crash Evolution is a game that would've made it to legendary status if it were completed to it's full potential. Twinsanity was already pretty succesful, so considering that's just a sad fraction of what it was going to be, I figured you guys would talk about it :)

it was wrath of cortex old concept. Yeah it was a shame universal played safe without giving a chance to traveller's tales. In my opinion, traveller's tales didnt have the fault of ruining the franchise, it was just universal who didnt let them take risks.

The part about NaughtyDog using vertex animation is interesting. Other games during that time started doing it and even years after. A good example of this is Valve; they were using vertex animation since 1998 (Counterstrike 1.6 and Half-Life) even in 2007 and 2009 they were still using vertex animation (also called Flex animation) for Left 4 Dead and Team Fortress 2's character models.
