For the first outing with the new ‪@Porsche‬ 911 GT3 Touring, MotoMan joins the ‪@ferrariclubfca‬ Club on their annual drive to the US Space Force base at Vandenberg in Lompoc, California. While there for their annual Exotic Car show, the ‪@Ferrari‬ Club is granted special access to space exploration history, a tour of Space Launch Complex 6 - a/k/a ‘Slick 6’, the former West Coast launch site for Space Shuttle missions as well as the Athena and Delta rocket families . . .

What a cool event. It’s nice to the the GT3T getting out to these types of events. I love the venue. Vandenberg AFB is also where they test launch the Minuteman 3’s to make sure they work. It’s also one of the best views of the Pacific along the California coast. It looks like the weather was absolutely perfect that day. So jealous!😢

Was there a _Ferrari 288 GTO_ present at the event? My vote will always go to the 288 GTO. Don't ask me why because I do not know. For some odd reason that model just speaks to me. I think we all have several cars that fit this category. Although, albeit on the more obscure end of the spectrum, is the _De Tomaso Pantera._ The first time I saw a De Tomaso Pantera was during my initial attendance at the world famous Barrett-Jackson Car Auction. I had All-Access VIP passes and I used it to my advantage by perusing the Restricted Area(s) where all the cars would pre-stage. I remember the owner had a 427 Cobra motor stuffed in the back of that quirky looking mini-Lamborghini. It was Black with No Reserve and looked completely restored. I also remember thinking, "Jeez! I bet this thing needs drag bars with that big block!" In fact, there were _a lot_ of "firsts" at the inaugural event for me. Years later I inadvertently found myself crossing off a bucket list achievement when I got to meet and greet the legendary Carroll Shelby. Long story short - [Mr. Shelby] Easily among the top three firmest handshakes I have *_ever_* felt. The other two acknowledgements were former Medal of Honor Recipients (WW2 & Vietnam). May they Rest In Peace. Great video nonetheless, George. Stay classy my friend.

Glad to see someone that owns a Ferrari(s) that are not garage queen's however the burning question is knowing how "reliable and inexpensive service" one would be curious how much did he spend to go the 600,000mi, my guess is that for that money he probably could charter a Gulfstream to go that distance/trips. Love seeing Ferrari's that are not painted 'cliche red' but other colours, some work better than others however not too convinced on the Miata blue.

So I think along the same lines as you, in that black interiors don't work well with blue cars. Since the Stratosphere blue Supra which you reviewed is now available with a Hazelnut interior do you think that would be an attractive combination. The reason I ask is because you've seen Stratosphere Blue and I have not. Sometimes colors look different in pics and on film.Thanks much.

Porsche are the cars that are bought by guys who like cars that you can track all day and drive home in the evening. Italians make pretty things but does any rational person believe that they make things well? German’s built the best planes, the best tanks, the best rockets 🚀 of WW2 and they make the best engineered cars in the world today at any price. Ferrari’s are for guys that want everyone to know they spent a huge amount of money on their car. But with porsche 90% of people watching a 1986 911 and a 2024 Turbo S would say they were the same car.

Someone has fallen for the marketing , do Ferrari let their cars get tested by reviewers against other cars …. No , Porsche just says have at it because they know their product is good and works, no need for a team with computers etc to make sure the car is ok 😂 they used to win f1 that’s how they became the ultimate nothing could touch them it brought prestige a house hold name the allure of greatness now their just a car, everything is fast their not winning f1 and what’s so special about them now Porsche is fast and reliable why would anyone go with a Ferrari over a Porsche ?
