I love my FD3. Took it to the pass a few weeks ago. Treasure island side. I did have an issue with the charger tho. The black and red ports popped out when i unplugged the charging cables. This was the 2nd or 3rd day. Urban Drones sent me a new one. We'll be in Sargent next week to give it another go.

Dude, that really helped me fight my fears. I have the FD3 and only took it for a hover test on my property, no issues, it was rock solid. But, I have this thing about flying over the water dropping bait from it, I'm just a bit apprehensive...but this video actually gave me more confidence and just go fish...thank you!!

How high can it go with a bait ? I fly falcons for hunting and used a p4 for the task but now I'm looking at that !!

Ever try putting up Christmas lights with one of these? I've got a 40' tree in my front yard. I string it with Christmas lights every year, but this year I fell off the ladder. I didn't break anything, but the soft tissue injuries are enough that I will likely not be getting back on the ladder. One of these might do the trick for next year.

Thats my issue now. Need a drone for my new pole. We got a nice 4 foot bull shark a few nights ago at SLP same spot you were at on the flat side. Tide was going out and kept getting hung up with seaweed on that ledge snapped off my 65 lb braid. Love the videos...

I can't tell the difference between the drones anymore but the one you had about a year ago was like, "$2,000+" which I was not able to afford. I had asked you about the "Locking Mechanism" that was on bottom of that drone? I asked IF that part which the line was hooked into & carried could be possibly bought & attached under another drone? You never told me your thoughts on that but that one "part" would allow people to use any drone to be a bait dropper. Good video, if I had this much money involved I'd want it to withstand some abuse. peace

Sorry, I get a ton of commetes daily. It is a proprietary attachment, I'm not sire that it will work with other drones.

There is a separate release you can buy that you can install on your drone but it doesn’t necessarily fit all models, I remember it was available when shopping on Amazon

Thanks, I don't own a drone but when I first saw the drone here(1 yr ago) I knew that "Hook up" part was the magic piece to allowing other drones to be used. Thanks, I've never looked b/c I don't have a drone but that part is really cool. Thanks for letting everyone know.... getting bait out off the beach is difficult even w/ my 13 foot rod. peace

Ruff start. Bought a FD3 on Nov 20, 2023. 2 months later main board cracked. I did not crash the FD3. Sent to repair shop [warranty work] then USPS lost my FD3 when shipping to repair shop. USPS lost it for 3 months. got back from repair shop Then the bait release took a crap. sent back to repair shop, it is fix now. got back yesterday 7-24-2024. went fishing works good. but now charging hub display is NOT working, so Swell PRO is sending out a new one. ruff road, lots of bumps. NOTE: When SWELL PRO is doing warranty work, and they are paying for shipping. They do NOT put insurance on your drone. So now I pay for shipping, and I use UPS paid $75.00 w/ insurance. I PAID $2400.00 for my FD3.

@@TacticalOwtlaw You can still buy drop systems for a DJI Phantom 3 far as I know. It's not waterproof of course. But pretty powerful in the wind. Because of registration and remote ID people sell them cheap and a get a mini drone. If you have never flown a drone before get $15 tiny whoop like the JJRC H36 or Eachine E017. Can crash it against the walls and (almost) won't break. Much harder than a GPS drone. But that's the whole idea! And oh. Another drone with drop system is the Fimi X8 SE. Reasonably powerful. And great video drone as well.

@@TacticalOwtlaw To be legal you need registration and a Remote ID module. Load of crap if you ask me. Practice first. Holy Stone sells a cheaper module, maybe others. Personally I would just keep that module in my pocket. If you lose the drone you still have it. And what if a shark swallows your module and swims to a no-fly zone? Then you have to pay for all those prosthetic legs for surfers.

The other day, my line got caught up in the propellers, causing my drone to crash down into the ground.... The only thing that broke was my landing gear ($15 bucks to replace). These things are tanks.

Really! dual drop is everything. That would be 3 drops x 2 per battery. Also the biometric membrane can only take so much water penetration. IE it is not waterproof. Proven many times.
