Enjoyed seeing these old buses. In my hometown back when I was growing up we had old Yellow coaches & airshift Mack's which were replaced in 1958 by GM "old look". Also 1947 ACF-Brill city buses just like several I saw in this video which were straight shift buses and we had 1947 Mack C-41's which were automatic but w/ a Mack gas engine. The Brill's & Macks replaced streetcars & ran into the 1960's & were replaced over a several year period w/ more GM "old looks" & finally "fish bowl" GM's.

Boy did this bring back memories! I spotted Reading Bus Co. number 825, a bus that I frequently drove! This was a 1949 GM model TDH4507. Originally owned by Green Lines in NYC, it was one of a number of buses from that company that were purchased used in 1968 and refurbished by Reading Bus. Watched the video again and noticed several buses that were probably ex-Reading. I'm sure I drove them too. I think I had driven every old look they had.

Interesting video, I see a lot of ACF-Brill buses, both transit and highway models. I think I also saw of pair of Aerocoaches, too.

It'd be awesome to see these restored and in some cases have their interiors converted to custom RV's or something like that!

One of the PAT old looks was 1901, one of the only two 40-footers they ever had It was a former Culmerville-Russellton bus. The other was a former Oriole Motor Coach bus. Jacob Ours Truck Parts closed in 1991, unfortunately. That place was like a museum of Pittsburgh and Cleveland buses. I used to shop there for parts for my Beaver and Brill buses, which are now in the Museum of Bus Transportation.

What is the date of this video? I have heard that when scrap metal prices increased a couple of years ago, Crawford's scrapped most of the buses. It's been many years since I visited Crawford's. I think the one-door ACF {with the rack on the roof} was originally from Lancaster, Penna.

Several of you have inquired about old bus yards, or old buses in any kind of yard. Just a few years ago metal prices hit an all time high. The re-cyclers who bring the crusher on sight would give a salvage yard $600 for every car and truck in the yard, complete or not. Probably a yard with many buses and trolleys could command even more for the lot. Many collectible cars and tons of parts were destroyed at that time. I don't know of any old buses left around here. One by one, they have all disappeared. even the rusty, burned out old Reo that used to be along side US 6.

That is a 1950s Fageol Twin Coach which borrows looks from a Freightliner truck. Many of them were Highway Post Offices (Postal clerks would sort the mail on board as they went from post office to post office).

I noticed 2 ex-PAT (Pittsburgh) old looks in there.. one at the very end as it looks like they are driving by. I looked on Google maps street view, that PAT one is gone..the shorter one that was in front of it is still in the Google maps shot. Wish I had known about this place years ago.. was another one in New Brighton PA called Jacob Ours thats all gone now, too :(

is this bus yard still there. how can I contact the owner. Do you know of any other bus yards around. In the early part there is a bus with eagle on the side looks like a VIP coach out of Tuxedo MD.
