These tires truly excel in debris covered, mossy, rough rock. They are better than many of the tires you rate higher than them. That being said I understand why you do so. On clean smoother, cleaner rock where your testing is performed.

Wow, these were the very first set of tires I bought to replace my RTR junk. Since I have nothing to compare them to, I wasn't really sure how good they are, so seeing how they perform in the canyon was very informative! Really looking forward to see what kind of insert you end up using in them.

Great review as usual. I've noticed that Injora has upped their game lately. In the 24 market, they are killing it. I assume they have applied their new tire compound to the 1/10th world.

Their small scale tires are awesome. I have several sets in S5, and one in, I believe, S4 compound. The ones tested here are S3, according to the Injora site. That should be just about perfect for 10th scale. Injoras other 24 scale stuff has gotten better and better, and most of it is pretty awesome - without being stupid expensive. I have a lot of their stuff in my 24s. :)

I might be even more impressed with the quality of machining on the wheels-- they were every bit as good as a "real" alloy beadlock. Injora is becoming genuinely good. We can't call them the new Integy, because Integy is still making the same dodgy quality stuff they have for decades.

So recap from your clicking and the driver front tire I saw pause for a brief sec while the rears moved. My Scx10iii early bronco edition does the same thing on the AR45’s really caused by the 1200kv HW pro😂 and leverage . Is my universal pins are cracked but the drive inertia keeps them held in place and the interior of the knuckle . How did I figure this out well I looked at the inside part of the plastic Knuckle where your “ball joint” would be and you can see how the pins are slightly coming out of the block there pressed into and there is a little trench line in the plastic knuckle that the cracked pin has created backing out since it’s in two or three peace’s. It only only Does this under great amount of bind. Also I tried running my axial yeti 380 2.2’s/5.5 OD tires on there just to be stupid and it was way too much leverage at that joint under tension. It’s what ever I forget there broke most the time. Thanks for getting my dusty brain 🧠 spinning 😵💫 cheers!

Nice! I ordered a set of these after watching your video. I've been through them all, but currently run nothing but JConcepts. I swear by them. But I can't wait to try these beauties. They feel just as good, if not better, than any of my others out of the package. Injora also makes another tire in the same compound with an awesome and really luggy tread pattern I think would make a great option for a video. They sit just below these (in video) on the Amazon site. They're called Injora "King Trekkers." These (in video) also have a name on the actual Injora site. They're called Injora "Kraken Klaws."
@rayoxracing9 ай бұрын
Did you try these injora?
@OkieDokieBoi9 ай бұрын
@rayoxracing yes, and I am going to be 100% honest. These are the worst tires I have ever stuck on any of my rigs. As a matter of fact, I won't even run the rig that they are on anymore. I just haven't had the time to switch them back out.
@Br0rB Жыл бұрын
Those new compounds from Injora are really nice. I only have them in their tiny tires, for my small scale stuff, but they work so well. I have several 1.0" Injora tires in their S5 compund, and they are super soft, super grippy and pretty sticky. Also have some S4 compound, which are also really nice. It's cool that they have finally started using those compounds for their larger tires, as the 1.9 Injoras I have bought so far, in "who know what compound they are, compound" haven't been all that great. From my experience with their small tires, going with the S3 or S4 compound is probably a good choice. I'm thinking the S5 may be too soft, and not all that durable, for the much heavier 10th scale rigs, compared to 200-500g 24s.
@CrawlerCanyon Жыл бұрын
Injora says these are S3, so I cannot imagine an S5 in this size. It would have to come in an egg, like Silly Putty, and you would just form it into a tire shape around the wheel. 😂
@Br0rB Жыл бұрын
@@CrawlerCanyon haha, you're probably right. The S5 ones I have are amazing on the Scx24s, but in a large size they would probably wear extremely quickly, and be near impossible to mount. Love that they have bigger tires in a nice compound though. Just wish they did much sooner, before I spent nearly 100 bucks on some Prolines. 😂

Is there a link to the beadlocks? Another great episode
@CrawlerCanyon Жыл бұрын
Huh. I thought I did link them, but when I looked them up only to find out they're not Injora but rather DKKY, I was doubly surprised. The beadlock rings are still (to me) horrible. There is a 5-spoke version of the wheel, which would mitigate it to a degree, but still not great. amzn.to/3JdRGt6

How about an SCX10iii builders kit build. I got one preordered and would like to see your version before I start. Thanks in advance.
@CrawlerCanyon Жыл бұрын
While I do regard the Base Camp 10.3 better than the "old" 10.3, it's still not one of my favorites. The AR45 is a problematic axle, and the 10.3 chassis is... 😬 When I tested the RTR Base Camp, I could see potential, but it's not a model on my shortlist. My recommendation is before you even start to build the kit, order some essentials: different shocks, and brass wheel hexes. The shocks are leaky, and the hexes are stamped, so they LOVE to hold on to wheels and never let go. Good to see that they changed the front axle housing to a better panhard mount. The inclusion of the dig unit (provided that it's reasonably smooth) makes the Builder's Kit what I would consider to be the best 10.3 they've put out yet. Nevertheless, my nearly-unstoppable urge would be to put a TRX-4 Sport body on it.
@brianmorrison2846 Жыл бұрын

@CrawlerCanyon Жыл бұрын
@@pedellbills130 if you haven't watched the state of the canyon (weekly update) for June 16, watch that one-- these are in it, sort-of against real KLR/Ms. I will say that the included foam is only good up to like maybe the low-5s for weight. It's very soft, and will fold over pretty badly on sidehill. I'm going to try a number of different inserts and see how it goes. I think a dual stage would likely be great. Be aware that some wheels are going to hold onto these better than others. The beads are a little thin and very soft.

Are they injoras tyre? Because injora does that tyre. When you give a tyre the green threat what you mean with that? My injoras was sticky from the beginning but not now after dirt 😜
@CrawlerCanyon Жыл бұрын
Yes, these are the Injora S3 version. The Simple Green on a new tire is to get any mold release or other material off the tire, which can often help get the tire to mount and stay mounted. But 99 times out of a hundred, I pull 'em out of the bag and slap 'em on the wheels. So popping two beads on these isn't super surprising. As long as they're not tearing, we're good.
