Great video compilation, I would like you to add the Napier Deltic engine used on the British 55 series trains of the 1960s, its configuration is so unique and interesting I would love to hear that beast of Diesel engines

The jet blower and plate compactor were cool. The rest just sounded like various engines that would pretty much sound the same with an actual exhaust system connected.

Some funky sounding engines! Some would be good in custom vehicles, but the jet powered blower is something else

Some engines are air and oil cooled. No water. I thought everyone knew that

They only sound different due to, Number of cylinders. Displacement of the cylinders. Type of intake system. Type of muffler or lack of muffler, exhaust. Turbo or non-turbo. Blower or no blower. Two stroke or four stroke and that is the biggest difference in the sound.

you can run a engine without coolant for a certain period of time without causing any damage, when doing in depth repairs on either of my trucks i will start the engines without coolant along the way to insure that everything works as it should throughout the repair process

Running a water-cooled engine without coolant, even for a short time, always scares the out of me! I know you can do it (for a short time) without damage - but still! I’ve had a car with a damaged head gasket, and it didn’t take long *at all* for it to get hot!
