If any of you are considering fishing offshore with Captain Collier, pull the trigger, no pun intended 😂, he had me on fish all day yesterday! Best fishing trip I've ever been on. Even after wearing out the Vermilion snappers and Triggers, on our way back in, we ran up on and caught 7 Mahi's. Epic day Branden, thanks to you and my man Tanner!

Oooooh! small hooks for filefish would be pretty cool. Also, I wonder if a tiny Beeliner would make great bait? The underwater footage seems to show the beeliners behaves like baitfish
@CaptCollier Жыл бұрын
Yessir. And technically it’s illegal to use beeliner for bait but I hear they work pretty good…

I have NOT had a Vermilion Snapper since 2005(Mississippi Coast) and Brandon do I miss it!! Pay a fortune up here 🇨🇦 for some fresh fish suitable for sashimi. Ed's ceviche looks AMAZING, def going to give it a go. Thanks as always for yet another unreal trip offshore.

Man y’all slammed them. I’ve fished here my whole life and have never been able to find spots like that with nothing but B-liners and triggers and not covered with red snapper. Any tips on what to look for? I know you were pretty far out there. More East or west, does that matter?
@CaptCollier Жыл бұрын
Definitely need to get in that 35-45 mile range. A lot of public super pyramids will hold them, and right now is a good time to fish for them because a lot of the red snapper have been caught up from most of the reefs. Hope this helps
@tylerlee5349 Жыл бұрын
Yea thanks. We were actually at that barge yesterday at about 30 miles y’all dove off Cody’s boat in a video you did a couple years ago. Caught 3 giant (17-18”) b-liners (first we’ve ever caught actually), then nothing but undersize snapper. Thinking I need to go a little smaller hook and try those pyramids in that area. Is there a way to know if it’s a super pyramid vs a regular one?
