I've been around (JSMagic's channel) for a while so I more or less know all of these tricks from past videos, but the beautiful thing is how Jonathan adapts to how the audience is reacting / interacting. Love how you used and mixed several principles in the first routine (with the 3 of clubs) and it was an amazing end result. The beauty of a good and beyond magician is that they no longer focus on technique and use principles and techniques as a brush and paint, to paint a masterpiece often even on the fly completely freestyle and yet a masterpiece, an art form.

Pretty sure he switched out the dollar bill he was handed with one he already knew the serial number of and then used either a trick app or a pre-determined calculator or some kind of function to return the final number. I can at least prove that the last number it ended up on couldn't have come from any 2 digit number: 2nd number we see on the calculator is 4623 3rd number we see is 300495, the number entered was 65 (4623 x 65 = 300,495) (300,495 / 4623 = 65) 4th number we see is 30,833,038 (30,833,038 / 300,495 = 102.6074909732275079452237142049), thus the last number entered would have had to be 102.607...etc The largest 2 digit number possible is 99 (300,495 x 99 = 29,749,005) therefore he couldn't have possibly come up with the last number by entering 2 digits only. The only conclusion is that the bill was swapped and the number on the calculator was pre-determined.
@jessicalynn62853 жыл бұрын
@@mrcaffein I figured the bill was swapped too, and the math and numbers were manipulated to match his bill. Didn't think about the numbers as much as you did. What stood out to me was when he took the bill, he folded it a specific way that wasn't necessary, before putting it in his pocket. He did this because his bill that was already in his pocket was folded like that. He folded his bill like that ahead of time, so when he took out his bill, people would recognize that it looked like what he just had. They had just watched him fold it like that, and the brain is tricked into thinking it was the same one. They are focusing on what they see but don't think about what was done to misdirect them. He pretended to fold that so nonchalantly too, like he was doing it without thinking about it, mindlessly. But it was done intentionally. Made that bill unique and that detail was what made them think it really was the same without question. Had he just slipped it into his pocket, the idea that it was a different bill might have popped into their mind as they attempted to figure out how. Also, when the switch was made, he slips the bill into his pocket for two seconds, takes it out and gives it to the kid to hold. How did they not catch that and question why he did that when he needed the kid to hold it? He made a little joke. "This dollar isn't for the trick, it's for the vending machine. (Acting silly like he just got a dollar from that guyh)Haha, just joking." I noticed a few times in this video he did something or said something that seemed...off. But only because I was looking for his misdirection, not because it stood out. He is very good. Effortlessly aware of his words and tone, setting up the mind to notice things he does on purpose, yet it comes across as natural, not planned.
