So many fun things happening! The amazing Patreon reunion this past weekend, finally getting the tour tickets available, and now a new KZbin video!
The first artist that ever had me fall in love with singing was Patsy Cline. I would take entire road trips and the only artist I would have blasting through my speakers and singing along with was Patsy. It's an honor to cover another one of her masterpieces!
"Crazy" was written by Willie Nelson, who turned 90 this year.

The thing I love is that they are not trying to imitate Patsy Cline or Willie Nelson. They use their own bluegrass instrumentals and sibling harmonies to create something new and different. I've had the honor of seeing them do this one live and all I can tell you is that if you get a chance to go see The Petersens live, drop whatever you're doing and just go.

Ellen does amazing things with her “throat voice” and her “head voice”. At times she seems to actually be making musical notes that fall in between the high and low. She has a mastery over changing back and forth better than anyone else. And it’s also a wonderful experience to listen and to enjoy what she is able to do.

Me ,too. In our household in PA Dutch Country the radio was always tuned to WCKY with Leroy, your coffee drinking night hawk, spinning hours of the best of country/bluegrass. My daddy's favorites were the Louvin Brothers...I was just little, but I thought we must know them personally cause we called them by their first names... was the plane crash that killed Patsy Cline sometime around the plane crash that killed some of the Blackwood Brothers...anyone know? Somehow they seem connected in my memory.

Ellen's beautiful voice is enhanced with songs like this (like "Blue" or like "She's Got You" for example). She temporarily puts aside the banjo and puts all her vocal talent to reach very high peaks of interpretation. Only great female voices have been able to interpret this song in the best way, and Ellen is certainly among them. If we then add highly professional instrumental accompaniment and fantastic choirs, we have another great Petersens masterpiece. Always with love. Roberto❤

To think that when Willie was a struggling singer-songwriter in his mid-20s, he offered to sell this song for 50 bucks to a pub band leader, to buy groceries for his family, and the band leader said "You wrote that song?? Man, don't sell that song. That's a keeper." And the rest is history. Source: Willie's autobiography "It's a Long Story" (2015). Awesome performance of a classic, Petersons. Keep up the amazing work.

The story that I heard: Willie was in a bar in Nashville, and sold the song for $50 to pay his bar tab.
