I bought this pedal a few weeks back. Such a great sound. Tweed overdrive is definitely my favorite gain sound.

Got one on the way myself... Also got a Splawn super sport combo on the way. With the Falcon into the clean channel and the "brown sound" from the SS it could get interesting. Or the Falcon and my Friedman BE-OD into the clean channel of my H&K Tubemeister. A guys gotta have options...

Hey, I actually apreciate the change in perspective during the loop section of the video. Actually getting to see you play and also having the pedal view. That's a welcome new little thing.

Just got one in this week, amazing how amp-like it feels under the fingers. Definitely has a permanent spot on the board. So bluesy!!!

I love that '61 setting. Brownface is my favourite of the Fenders. I used to have a '63 Brown Concert, which is a 4x10 combo. The harmonic vibrato was amazing and the normal channel sounded very similar to a plexi.

Have you heard the Crazy Horse(pedal)? Has a Fender voiced boost, with separate Drive and Fuzz stages(knobs).Talking dead on?,- sounds like his live sound, when he was in a MOOD-

Interesting that you say there are fewer low gain pedals out there. I've recently made a list of pedals that emulate Fender and similar tones in contrast to high gain Marshalls. There are fewer but there are some: Brantone Vintage Tweed Overdrive; Catalinbread Formula 55 / 5F6; Mad Professor Super Black / Big Tweedy; Two Notes Le Clean; Supro Drive Pedal; J Rockett Lenny Colour Boost; Wampler 57 Tweed; Crazy Tube Circuits Falcon (as well as several defunct pedals). And then you can add Bluesbreaker type pedals, e.g. those produced by Xotic. And any boost should act as an improver. So while the point remains valid, there are more such pedals out there than I realised.

The Supro Drive is a dead on Supro combo.Close, but a little smoother,What you note is true, but I would say that only a few pedals manage the emulation successfully.This one, the two CB's , - pretty dead on , a couple different models .The Flickinger Cranky Atom captures the early , small combos in true spirit.The RST Magic 6 is an interesting little pre amp that turns all instantly Fender. Believe it's a little tougher to get right.

Thanks for the Video. I have a ton of distortion, fuzz, amp simulators. On this particular pedal. There is this unusual fuzz sound that I don't like, it is like the designers tried to cover up this weird bad sound with a bass modulation circuit. But, I am sure for a quicky on stage it probably does not matter. Most of the time pedals are just for convenience. I like your video thanks for sharing.

I was born in 1967, I remember the 80's, and in those days the music scene very diff. but musicians today though we have a lot of great ones they kind of have one foot in a music scene which is pretty dead due to Rappers, DJs and shitty music industry but at the same time while today's musicians are not millionaires by far they can't do a 3 hour gig in a venue for 100 people without taking 6 guitars and a super complex set up while way back in the 70's and 80's they'd play a gig to 30 thousand with 4 guitars and a simpler set up This is sad because the market is so saturated, whereas musicians in the past would record a whole album with 1 guitar today they need about 6 guitars to record a song.

OK good but no Cigar. It has a decent smooth tube sound, but no more than a TS808. The one thing not mentioned everywhere is that there is no 9V battery in this unit. It requires an external 9V 40ma power brick/cube with a +( - ) connector. So if you play 10-15 feet in front of your amp you need to find an extra outlet besides you amp and then run a long length of wire to power it. The pedal could be great, but that will be a sure show stopper for most. I paid 185.00 us for it and then returned it. For the money I will look for a TS808.
@hoover728

"A show stopper for most'? I think the vast majority of guitar players these days use a dedicated power supply. No digital pedals use battery power, and very few delays or modulation pedals of any sort do due to the high current draw. So I think you're in the minority with this concern.
