There was a fall and a HUGE sprint to the finish in the final 100 meters of the UIL 2A boys 1,600m as Taylor Warrick came back to win in 4:28.63.

4:28 wins state in Texas?!?! In San Diego in the 80's that would win most dual meets, period.The kicker was clearly a 4:20 miler cruising until the last 100 to save himself for the 2 mile or something else.

That's a slow 1600 state title. When I was in high school the winning 1600s were always sub 4:20 usually around 4:16
