I hope and pray Laura is soon home and her eyesight returned. I had a similar problem 18 months ago while in LA. It got diagnosed as a slight tear in the rear of the retina but thankfully it wasn''t operated on at that time. The problem returned when fluid gathered but it ended up a reaction to coffee and milk products(like a migrane). Hope Laura's problem is that simple but so glad they are ruling out anything serious.

I had an mri head scan last week and I asked the technician if I could have some music on. He gave me headphones and asked which radio station I wanted. I said “Smooth radio” and I can’t tell you how much that helped. Listening to beautiful south and I shut my eyes then it was soon over 😀. Get better soon Laura. Xxx

I suffered something similar 2yrs ago and was urgently referred to retina clinic at local hospital, turned out to be Branch Vein Retinal Occlusion (build up of fluid) still receiving eye injections to reduce the fluid, with 6 monthly scans. I think it’s a lifetime issue as there’s no cure for this condition. Hope the Hospital has taken this into consideration in Laura’s case.

@@suea5935 hi , I’ve been on these injections for 2yrs now , after 12 mths the clinic reduced the interval to 3 months but I’ve had to start on 4 weekly injections again due to the lapse in between injections caused the fluid build up again, the consultant have advised that with BVRO it can never be fully repaired the injections are a way to prevent the build up of fluid and it’s more than likely to be a lifetime thing 🤷🏻‍♀️

I had the same thing years ago with fluid on my optical nerve and it turned out to be benign intracranial hypertension. Hope Laura gets better soon ❤.

Oh Laura, I am sorry you're having to go through all this. MRIs are pretty unpleasant and an hour in one is just mindboggling. I have only have one and I remember my heart pounding like crazy and I was telling myself to calm down. I sincerely hope you're out soon and make a speedy recovery, you're such a sweet girl. Get well soon, Laura. I was in the hospital las Americas in April while on holiday ,I fell & broke my femur in 2 places. Was in for 10 days. Hospital was very good,can't complain with anything, the staff were great, the food could have been hotter 😂, the insurance did everything for me from start to finish.✈️☘️
