Hey Doc do you ever have Thatch issues mixing rye with the dead Bermuda?
@HowTowithDoc9 күн бұрын
You might have to dethatch in the spring. But these areas are really bare.

That's a lot of work putting chicken wire in just for a raccoon or opossum to chew through it. I know you have welded wire behind it but that wire does little to protect chickens. I use hardware cloth. It is more expensive but they are not getting by it. Love the videos!
@HowTowithDoc9 күн бұрын
We have hardware cloth around the main run. This is more so to keep chickens in.

Are skunks bad for the property? I have a white one and a black one appear on camera almost every week. I enjoy seeing them but have never thought about any damage they may do.
@HowTowithDoc9 күн бұрын
No skunks are fine. We don’t try and catch them.

Hey Doc, To catch Racoons use marsh mellows as bait.
@HowTowithDoc9 күн бұрын
We use peanut butter because it handles the rain well. Them dry dog food around it

Do skunks eat chickens?
@HowTowithDoc7 күн бұрын
They will eat the eggs but not savages like raccoons
