Ok, I have watched this video 2x. Excellent. My Creality Falcon 2 just arrived but I have not purchased an enclosure yet. I will not run this machine without one. I might just buy this enclosure and cut new openings in it for the 2 fans you recommend using. As you say, the location of the openings is not very efficient. Thanks!

Thanks for the interesting Viedeo. Are there any technical data included how far the orange film protects against the laser?

Thank you! As far as I can tell I don't see any technical data anywhere so you may still want to wear some laser glasses

Hello, what is the size of the fan?

Where did you get the 3" flat flange stl file for the 3d printer? Thanks

Hey, nice video! Quick question, where did you connect the usb fans? I tried connecting the fan with a usb-c-to-a adapter to the laser, but then the laser crashes and i can't do anything. Right now i'm using a powerbank, but i have the feeling there should be another way.

I just use a regular USB to AC adapter like the ones to charge your phone and I plug it into the power bar near my machine. Just make sure the one you use is rated for enough current for the USB fan

Where are the particle measurements or did I miss it?

While putting together the enclosure I did manage to break one of the rods that were connected by pushing too hard. Simple fix though. I took a wooden kabob stick which fit perfectly into the hollow tubes and reconnected using CA glue. Done!

A couple of questions 1. With the wide open bottom of the enclosure, what is the importance of using the air intake fan. 2. Why are you not cutting a hole higher up on the enclosure to elevate the air flow above the laser frame. 3. I have a nice exhaust fan already. Thinking about designing an adapter to couple its 4" duct and then the CPAP hose from the laser head exhaust. Perhaps using the original fan on the CPAP line. Any Gotcha's? Great videos. Alan

What are your thoughts on the safety of the window film? Would it be enough eye protection to prevent pets from getting injured, for instance?

Good question. Without any official rating that I can see from the manufacturer I would be purely guessing if I told you. I'm sure it does *something* but how much is impossible for me to say... I would suggest emailing them to see if they will give you some kind of official answer. That being said, at the very least it would keep their paws and things out of there so they would never get directly hit / burned by the laser.

I forgot to ask. Any suggestions for the fan model to use inside the enclosure in lieu of the one provided?

I'll see if I can find a better fan but I guess it would depend on where you're trying to dump the fumes? Unless you have a window a few feet away, these small fans probably won't produce enough pressure to push the smoke more than a few feet through the hose. So I would suggest getting an inline booster fan such as: amzn.to/44SzkWN (amazon affiliate link - I may earn a commission at no extra cost to you) this would be able to help boost the flow through longer runs of ducting to the outdoors.

Lucky for me that the window is right next to the laser, less than 12" away. The inline fan would be overkill in my case. Thanks for your reply!@@EmbraceMaking

Help, please sell those flat flanges! Or tell me how to cut one out with my laser, the measurements. :-)

Quality is okay. The instructions suck! The tech writer is untrained and the drawings are the pits. Apparently they could care less about their customers time spent figuring out how to assemble this product. "Assemble the support frame in the order...." NO NUMBERS ARE ASSIGNED TO THE PARTS depicted in the drawing. I just hope that Creality equipment does not have the apparent lack of quality assurance!

Yes the instructions that come with it suck. That is why I made the video to try and help :) Although my enclosure did have stickers on the rods that matched the numbers in the instruction sheet - so it was at least a little helpful.
