It is by far the best recipe I have tried. I tried many with epic fails, but this comes out perfectly everytime. One of reasons for my fails..."cake flour" It's crap! Her ratio of 1 cup self rising flour and two cups of all purpose gives the best results. Thank you for your recipe.

I love that you added buttermilk to a cream cheese pound cake!!! I knew that would work! The cream cheese pound cakes be so thick and I been licking beaters and bowls for 44 yrs lol and I'm still here! This cake looks so good! You opened the oven twice and I was told never to do that or it may fall also you all didn't even let the cake cool completely and this cake still came out great!

Everytime I wanna relax in bed on my phone. I always come watch her cream cheese pound cake video. I've watched a few others I like. But this one is #1 in my opinion.. her batter is not thick due to the jumbo eggs, and the added buttermilk.. ive also seen another CCPC WITH 1/3 CUP OF SOUR CREAM.. JUST KNOW ADDING SOMETHING EXTRA TO THIN OUT THE BATTER TAKES THE CAKE OVER THE TOP!

Just until it becomes smooth and creamy. Be sure and scrape down the sides of your mixer bowl. You just want it to blend together then add sugar and continue mixing then add eggs, one at a time Then vanilla. Add the flour and buttermilk alternately Mix until smooth and velvety. (Remember to scrape down the sides of your mixer bowl again. Blend again then pour into pan and bake. It will turn out great for you. Have a blessed day
@southforyourmouthcooking5 жыл бұрын
Would work good. Just a suggestion, I would hold out maybe 1/4 cup plain flour to toss my choc chips in Then at the last, I would fold them into the batter then put mixture into the tube pan. Even Coconut would be good to add on another occasion. Merry Christmas!

I like the idea of adding the milk too. I made this cake the other day for my husband's birthday (from another video that I saw before I saw yours). I almost added milk but I decided not to since it was my first time with the recipe. It was still basicly the same recipe though and it turned out delicious! I also like the idea of adding the vanilla earlier in the process so you can be sure it all gets mixed in good. I don't know why they usually tell you to add it last. I'll try those two changes the next time I make it. But it won't be any time soon because this cake is so rich but it's so good that you just don't want to stop eating it even though you know you should! Oh, did I mention we're both on diets? Oops lol.
@southforyourmouthcooking5 жыл бұрын
I understand waiting to bake another one because of the diet Lol Btw: this cake freezes well. You can make it in loaf pans. Remove from pan, wrap well then freeze. Take one out when needed or share with others. Nice to have if company comes in. Have a great day and Happy New Year.

@tracymyers24545 жыл бұрын
hello, looks great how much salt & buttermilk did you add ? thank you
@hazelellenburg49995 жыл бұрын
Probably 3 or 4 Tablespoons...You want it to be silky and creamy. I did not add any salt because I added 2 cups of Plain Flour and 1 Cup of Self Rising Flour. The Self-Rising Flour has salt, baking powder etc in it, and the butter also has salt.... which makes it just right. Enjoy!!!
