Based on some comments... The curds are washed to cool it down and stop the cooking. Otherwise it becomes hard rather than creamy. Its strained before processing as It's easier to control the moisture. adding in a little bit of whey is easy. But if you process it with too much moisture then it's difficult to get it out

Don't need to strain it for that long and add whey later on. Just grind soon after you separate the two. Gives the perfect consistency for cream cheese.

We can do that . But you must be knowing that blender starts heating when used even for a short period At that point adding hot substances might cause unwanted splashes . Although it's completely fine if it works for you .👍
