On the cardio first date: that’s kind of what me and my wife accidentally did in 2011. We were part of the same friendship group at university, and one evening we got more talking just the two of us but still with the group, we played pool and after I went round to hers for one of those up all night still talking conversations. As part of that she mentioned she might like to get into running. It gets to about 4am and i say I’m going to head back to mine but that we should do something over the next couple of days, maybe dinner. I said as a throwaway comment, we could even go for a run together to kick off your training. She asked what time I usually run and I said ‘anytime, I’d run now if you wanted, lol’. She said “let’s do it!” And I had to go back, get changed and went for a 5am run around campus. We started dating that day, relationship a month later and married to earlier this year. Iain, thank you for being the smart one. I just had this conversation about raw/cooked weight earlier today, no matter what it weighs after you cook it. You can’t cook macro nutrients out of food. 100g of raw chicken will always have the same amount of calories/macros. If you overcook it and dry it out, it will weigh less than if you cook it correctly, but the macro nutrient content of the chicken does not change from when it was raw. I weighing foods raw will always be more consistent than cooked.

For the raw vs cooked argument, I always air fry my ground chk and I know for fact if I measure it 260g raw, it will come out to 170g cooked @ 360 19min, +-5grams. Same with Ground Turkey. *I also cook every meal fresh.. Before I was doing it Fouad's style and I felt as if I had more dry food bc I could not easily add variables and I also felt like I was eating less food.

Most chicken breast is loaded with water making the nutritional value per oz raw different, if you air fry the chicken it tends to even out moisture wise by the end, so I feel you have a more accurate protein content per oz once it's cooked, as long as the method of cooking is the same every time.

This is one thing I would disagree with Guy quite strongly on. Eyeliner and painting nails being for women is entirely socially constructed, there is absolutely no biological basis for that. Male warriors have been wearing eyeliner at least as far back as ancient Egypt

Generally make up and nails and eyes are done biologically to attract men. The reason warriors did that was to attract attention to the fact they are warriors but now there aren’t tribes like that generally. So there’s no reason for men to wear eye liner right now. Also in Egypt it was usually the high class that wore eye liner. The poor hard workers didn’t put on eye liner before slaving

The reverse band hack squats do make you stronger yes. But I would much rather do 6 or 7 plates a side with a purple or a green band (they take off like 40 kgs so 90lbs) and have 0 knee pain rather than do 4 or 5 plates without a reverse band which is need to do 20 reps with and still have terrible knee pain and a cardio workout from the same set. But yeah way to many people just abuse the bands and use them just for the bounce more weight put of the hole and not to take tension off at the bottom to keep the knees healthy. The key to the reverse band is to stop the movement at the bottom so you don't get as much recoil from the band. I'd you spend a second in the hole each rep it very much negates the weight taken off by the band by creating a longer period in the weakest position of the lift and still have the weight be heavy for the last 60% of the range of motion where you are stronger. The way to know if you need a band or if the band you're using is to strong to to light is by looking at your rep as a whole. It should be very even in terms of speed through the whole rom.

Another thing. I love guy and I also agree with the over exposure of the sex-gender thing. Eyeliner is also part of cultures. It is a repected thing in Islam (sunnah). It was worn by warriors to reduce glare etc in many other cultures too.

Talking about using the bands, Fouad you said to use the band from the bottom, to keep the resistance in the fully stretched position but make the top harder. Wouldn't you get the exact same effect by doing the reverse band but increase the weight to keep the same load in the bottom, but effectively making the lockout harder? Edit: ok you addressed this five seconds after I wrote my comment 😂
