I'm married to a non-vegan... Our compromise is that when I cook dinner, the meal is vegan, and there's one night a week (occasionally two) where the meat-eater has meat! (which I don't cook, of course) My pet-peeve is making sure that there's no cross-contamination when storing/cooking food.

Hey Rose, just wanted to let you know that truffles are not considered vegan by everyone. They can only be collected by using pigs and dogs which have to hunt for truffles and which are raised specifically for this purpose, they also might not be living in the best conditions. You can also buy products with artificial truffle extract, then you don't have this issue :)

FYI, having a domestic animal such as canines and felines is not just to keep the population down. It’s done for their health as well. Having a male castrated eliminates the chances of testicular cancer, and lessens the chances of prostate cancer. Having a female spayed prevents pyometra (a uterine infection) from developing, Which requires very expensive emergency surgery to correct (it’s pretty much a very dangerous expensive spay). It also lessens the chances of breast cancer development.

As for podcasts, I highly recommend Making Sense with Sam Harris, The Cosmic Skeptic Podcast, Sigma Nutrition Radio, Iron Culture, Stronger by Science, The Jeff Nippard Podcast, The Revive Stronger Podcast, 3D Muscle Journey, The Beauty and The Geek, RP Strength Podcast, Swole Radio. Their rapline is 🔥🔥🔥. I see a lot of the new generation influenced by them too. It's more my style now with rock & r&b fusion. I tried kpop a few times over the years because I love music & want to experience it all, no matter the language. It just never sparked my interest. I don’t think that getting a dog from a local member of the community who had one litter of puppies in their dog’s lifetime is necessarily unethical. The puppies were already born before they were listed to be adopted and the individual who bred them intended for them to be companion animals only, has no intention of breeding more and required the adoptive families to spay them as a part of the adoption contract. A puppy mill or commercial breeder is a very different situation. I think it’s a case by case situation. Those noodles look amazing! Rose always makes me hungry!

It's still backyard breeding and it's wrong.

I've thought about the topic of whether pets/domestic animals were vegan as well 🤔 I would think that in a perfect vegan world, there would be ideally no domestic animals. So there would only be just us humans and wild animals because there would be no more domestic animals to be bred into this world for our own interest whether that's for companionship, food, clothing, money, etc. since there wouldn't be a need and by then we may think of it as unethical like slavery. However, I think this is like 250 years into an already vegan world so it's unlikely we would be faced with this.
@leahnibert38493 жыл бұрын
Interesting video! I enjoy your Q & As and I have to try that pasta 😍 Lots of topics were covered, and I just want to share a few of my thoughts. 😊 •You said dogs were the best thing ever. While I do love dogs, I think cats are the best! •If I thought vegans shouldn't be friends with non vegans, I would surely have no friends. Only one of them is slightly interested in veganism, but has a hard time giving up dairy. :( I hope I can be a good influence on them. I am quite lucky though because my husband decided to become vegan shortly after I did. ❤ My one and only vegan friend, lol •I like some K Pop! I love BTS & Pentagon. Please don’t compare being vegan which is a lifestyle choice to being gay, and the morality of being vegan versus the morality of being pro-lgbtq rights. As a queer person, that really hurts
@dazedreamer153 жыл бұрын
Not about morality at all. She just said socially acceptable. 20 years ago same sex marriage was illegal in the US and people were more openly homophobic. 20 years ago there were not many vegan options. Times have changed and society has changed. As a society we are becoming more tolerant of others.
