Trying something new on the Weber Q 3200. Some creamy garlic mussel in a Lemon butter sauce served with freshly baked Feta and Olive bread, an Awesome Taste experience. NO SUGAR Meal with an abundance of flavor!
I am still learning the ropes with Audio, Video the works. But, Practice makes Perfect and I LOVE trying NEW things on the Weber Q, So Stick around and learn with me?
Again NOT a Chef, Just a Guy with a passion to Grill and Prepare food for my Family!
What you need for this recipe:
- Approx 1 kg of Half Shell Mussels (cleaned and bearded)
- 4 Tablespoons of real butter
- 4-6 Cloves of Crushed Fresh Garlic
- 500 ml of White Wine
- 500 ml of Fresh Cream
- 2 Lemons (Juice and Zest)
- 250 g of Fresh Parsley
- Salt & Pepper
- 2 Bay Leaves (Optional)
INSTRUCTIONS
- Melt the Butter in a large pot or skillet (with a lid) - saute the
Onion, Garlic and Bay Leaves until soft
- Add the White Wine and simmer until reduced by one third or two,
add the Cream and simmer 2 - 3 minutes. With the Weber on the
medium Setting.
- Add the Mussels and cover the pot / skillet - (turn Weber down to
the lowest heat setting) over low heat, steam the Mussels until
cooked - about 10 - 15 minutes
- Remove from heat - season to taste with Salt and Black Pepper -
stir through the Lemon Juice, the grated Lemon Zest and Parsley
Serve the mussels with some crispy crust home made bread. ENJOY!
