I have a ton of discomfort in my mouth. 2 teeth were broken by a dentist and when I had wisdom teeth removed they didn't stitch things up properly which allowed it to now get infected. I feel so humiliated with how my teeth look and can't do much about it. Within 2 years I've seem 20 dentists and oral surgeons. I have liberty insurance but the appointments are too far out meaning in Jan & July. I also have sickle cell disease and Avascular Necrosis so tons of work to be done. I'm in college so trying to pay out of pocket is tough. I see another dentist Tuesday but I may have to make it sooner due to the pain which is causing my sickle cell to flare up. I have pus coming out of the upper front & lower gum area. I tried starting a go fund me but of course zero luck with that. I don't want to go into another new year like this ... Please stay safe and take care of your oral health although like my situation it's not always the person's fault.

I just did my own a couple days ago.I stuck it with a needle and twice as much as that came out. So much that it splattered on the mirror. I was squeezing it till nothing but blood came out. I rinsed with h-peroxide and with salt water. Treated it with Fish Mox. I feel 100%!

When draining abcess does one puncture the pimple sort of formation or the fleshy part above the gums. I want to drain my tiny abcess before if becomes a problem.

@@2cuteNmyGT no, i finished my antibiotics in a week and my abcess went away, has not reappeared since. I would recommend you get a checkup and get some antibiotics for your self asap if you have pain in the tooth where the abcess has formed.

I have tooth abcess at the back of my teeth and i went to a dentist and asked if he could drain the puss, but he said no..instead he just gave me pain reliever and antibiotics. will the puss could really disappear thru medicine?

@Harsh Boricha well, in some cases antibiotics are enough if the infected area is just where the abscess is and hasnt infected anything else im pretty sure. could be wrong 😭

I just had this done (twice) and if I’m not mistaken it simply comes down to just how deep the infection is. Or basically how long the patient has gone without getting it treated.

My dentist 🦷 did that too, drained it, then stuck his dental tool in there and was swirling it around and I think he touched the end of the tooth because it sent a shock thru my entire head LoL 😆 didn't really hurt but I'm not sure what he touched in there 🎉

Just finished a weeks worth of antibiotics, the abscess got bigger. Booked in for this treatment tomorrow then suddenly tonight it popped on its own. Tasted nasty and blood n push everywhere. Ewww. Anyways I guess I won't need that appointment now 😳

How did you close that hole?

The "hole" is initially left open to let residual pus drain. As the infection resolves the pus finishes draining, the "hole" closes up on its own.
