@@spotifymarketing i got into cover song licensing and made lofi remixes of video game songs. The first game i chose was minecraft as i knew it would be a compliment to kids playing and the demographics would be cheaper to run ads too. right now has about 7.8k likes!

@@spotifymarketing I literally just was running videos in the background while i did real life work and thought, I have seen that Spotify playlist! This is the first video i have seen with the idea of promoting a playlist with facebooks ads, so truly a good idea to share. I will check out some more o your videos in a bit.

Thanks, there are pros and cons to this though. For example you could spend thr same money promoting your fans and followers rather than a playlist. Also youndont get many saves or playlist adds when your song is played on a playlist due to passive listeners. However at least playlists can make you money :) and grow the amount of streams you get so it's a trade off..

276 pounds spent, that equals to 130,000 streams to even break even, let alone get income. And that's if you own 100% of the royalties. I'm very curious about your revenue from that submithub idea. Sounds like making my own playlist and having to push it like this is a lost investment :/

your absolutely right, only a handful of my songs have gone over the 100K mark. so mostly your gonna lose money. However, this video was 2 years ago, once my playlist reached the 1K mark, I could start monetizing the streams, which was really slow to be honest in the beginning, but pretty soon, the money from the submissions started paying off my music campaigns, so its worth the wait. So also, the playlist in this video now has over 7K followers.

Interesting tactic - I see your playlist likes are over 3K now, just wondered how much you have spent since this video was posted, perhaps an update video would provide good info.

I definitely want to do an updated video. But just for info, I'm putting 5 a day into ads, and I'm earning around 25 to 30 a week, so its almost breaking even. I've noticed as the list grows I've been getting more submissions. HOWEVER, a when I started I wasn't breaking even, it's taken some time to get to this point. I'm now considering building up a second playlist after getting some advice from the submithub support team.
