good vid. Why did you decide not to use the hidden setting of SEND invoice automatically like you hinted at at 11:10 ? I just turned it on, and works great! Maybe that can be shared in a invoice automation video as there is not an option to SEND INVOICE in automations without it already having a template. This hidden setting did not come up in help documentation either... thank you again.

This was great info! The only problem I have is that when you add the button around the 8:20 mark, I go to "Actions" > URL then under "Link URL" I choose Proposals > URL but when I send a test email and click the button I get a "page cannot be displayed" page. What am I doing wrong? It doesn't pull the PDF template document that I needed e-signed.

Nuno, thank you, great tutorial. I have one clarification that I need. So custom fields such as contact name can only be used in a new template but not in an uploaded pdf contract? This seems illogical. Could you clarify? I have a pdf contract that would however also need the contact name, address etc. to be inserted into. Any idea how this wold work? Thanks a stack!

Becuase the document gets automatically created, that value gets assigned automatically!

Yeah same url but it does go to the right place each time. Same doc but in different states and those states are recorded as people sign and such. Don’t think of it as separate docs, it’s just one doc.

Yes - the signer and the sender(admin) both get the email notification with signed document in.

I'm lost. I've watched the video 3 times, including on slow speed so I could make notes. I tried to follow along step-by-step. (Clearly I'm not a tech type person, but I can usually follow videos like this.) I've created the contract and saved it as a template. I've created the other templates to use in automations. Do I have to input sometime into the custom values field for document URL?

No you don’t , so the document url is a custom value that auto populates, just select the custom value under contracts/invocies/proposals

Can you setup a contract so that it creates a one-time setup invoice for $X and ALSO a recurring invoice on a specific future start date at $Y? We seem to be able to one or the other, but haven't yet figured out how to do both.

Excellent, how would the workflow change if...After purchase, I sent a consent form for therapy (contract) to customer. They sign. Then, it gets sent to my doctor to sign. Then, the final consent form gets sent to both signers.

What if you have a product that has differing price points? Seems like there is no way to create a contract to pull through the price within the opportunity, would that be correct?

handling products with differing price points within contracts can be a bit more complex, but it is possible to manage it with some customization.

@geere0 create a form that you fill out first - include customer name, phone, email, price - automation on completion of form - make contact - send document & contract (have this document auto pull this info from that form using custom fields) I just did this and it worked.
