This channel is such a discovery, to the point I haven’t actually heard of these artists before, so not only an I learning how to create better lo-fi but also new artists to listen to. Thank you Will

I know that is not properly “lo-fi” but i’d like to see recreate the sound of some artists from LA Beat Scene like: Flying Lotus, Teebs, MNDSGN, Samiyam or even more like Madlib, Quasimoto, J Dilla! Love you stuff, cheers from Portugal 🇵🇹
@WillHatton2 жыл бұрын
It doesn’t HAVE to be Lofi, friend! That’s what I love about “Inspired By…” Inspiration can come from anywhere! I’m a HUGE fan of the LA beat scene! Definitely up for all of these! I’ve got stuff on Dilla and Teebs already so do make sure you check those out too! Big love from the UK right back!

Big fan of softy, loved the breakdown! Any chance of a mondoloops inspired by? Or would also love to see an Arbour inspired too!

Lots of folks ask for Mondoloops! Any reason why? He has a channel where he makes his own music, no? I’m open to it - just curious why folks want me to make his music rather himself!?

You forgot to mention the track number 7 😟, that sound is the most unique one in the song.
@WillHatton2 жыл бұрын
You’re right!! My apologies. You want to grab the operator and set it to a pluck (or choose the preset Plastic Kalimba), pull in the Arpeggiator and record a chord. Add reverb and increase the “wet” automation from 0-100 towards the end of the chord… that’s the effect!
