So you drew the face with pencil and shaded it THEN watercolored over it in the journal? Brilliant!

I've just put one in every journal (5) to just continue the flow of "my girl." I could not be more thankful for the great instruction. So happy about it all~! Thank you again. Going to do the stencil for sure~

Pam, I have to tell you I have watched all your videos multiple times....then I tried to water color my girls and they never look like yours! Not that I am trying to copy your girls but I love how soft and blended your colors look. So tonight I sat down and painted with you and to my surprise.......it worked! I heard new things I had missed even though I have watched over and over. It was me painting with you that made me listen more carefully! Thank your for all those little tips that you don't realize how it helps. I am anxious for your next video!!!

You crack me up Pam 😂 I'm binge watching your videos today, as I've just recently discovered your channel. I find the way you explain things and your creative process to be quite relaxing. You remind me of Bob Ross and how he was always so calm, and if he made a "happy mistake" it was easily fixable. If I had splattered paint all over the paper like that I probably would've freaked out lol. I'm trying to be more carefree and not letting OCD get the better of me. I'm actually practicing that on a mixed media piece at the moment whilst I watch and listen to this video. Anywho, I love the way you do faces. They're so whimsical. I like learning from you quite a bit. x ❤

Thank you, thank you, thank you!!! I’m new to everything and was getting frustrated with drawing faces (I just watched your video on that) and you have a way of explaining how that I can’t wait to try and as for my painted faces, acrylic or watercolor they just looked awful!! Maybe part of my problem is the paper, I was using Canson mixed media and Strathmore cold press. I just picked up some Frabriano hot press the other day and will give that a whirl once I finish up washing my dishes. 😁

Hi! I'm brand new to your channel...this is my first video of yours for me, and I've already just subscribed and hit that bell :) I'm excited to watch more of your videos! Thank you for sharing, you're awesome! I so know what you mean about hoarding supplies until we can do them justice, or whatever. I'm more of a collector of nice supplies than a user of one; haha! Your girls are gorgeous, and I love how you talk about exactly what you are using, and how you're doing it! It doesn't bother me one bit when you spin your paper...I don't see why it would be bothersome. I like how to keep talking about everything too, please don't play music instead ;-) Can you tell me exactly which journal you're using, and also with your watercolor paper...is it 100% cotton, or wood pulp paper, or what kind is it? (Edited to mention that I don't think your watercolor paper is acting like watercolor paper should, at all, have you tried your Fabriano at all? Also, they have different qualities of Fabriano, and I've heard that there have been some unfortunate changes even in their good paper :-( ) Thank you So Much! With Love
@SewCrazi6 жыл бұрын
staceybrister thank you Stacey! I LOVE the Dylusions journals! The paper I used in this video was a cheaper Strathmore cold press paper and may contribute to my dislike, but there is nothing like hot press paper to me. Im using it to collage backgrounds on now. ;) thank you again! Pam

Hi! Haha, I actually edited more than once...just in case you didn't get to see my full comment :-) You know what, I was thinking of the Moleskin Journals...I believe there are several types of those. But the Dylusions journals...I think they're all the same, except for size. Thanks for answering and everything, I hope you're having a great day!

Another great tutorial thanks! Do you ever find that the Dylusions paper pills? It's made for Dylusions inks and works fabulously for that, but whenever I try to watercolor on it, the paper just pills. Do you have any tips? Thanks in advance!
@SewCrazi6 жыл бұрын
Leslie Yudman Thank you! I've not experienced the Dylusions paper piling at all so far. In the past, paper will start piling if I over work when wet. Letting it dry thoroughly, if patient enough, helps. Lol
@leslieyudman31566 жыл бұрын
Okay I will try to be patient and not overwork it! Thank you!! :-)
