This is by far the most informative video I’ve seen about this device. In fact I’ve watched it end to end twice now. I’m still on the fence about buying an OMB guitar but as a solo performer I’m really interested in adding responsive backing tracks to my original music. This looks like exactly what I’d need to do that. With or without the laser beams.

I was concentrating so hard my laser beams burned a hole in my phone. I bought this and tried it for the first time last night. You’re right about a cheap capo for calibration. And playing style definitely needs to change I got the new black acoustic and was pleasantly surprised that the setup was nice and low.

Laserbeams! Love this concept but needs to be sturdier for my application. If there were a cheaper version I could use just to identify chords, I wouldn’t hesitate though...

Yeah it’s gotta take a lot of practice to make certain instruments sound right. This has always been the issue for me with midi and guitar. It’s so easy to just use a cheap keyboard next to you and you don’t have to fight the interface.

Lazerbeams, I've been wanting something like this for ages, but the backing tracks would have to be better. I can't go out playing in front of people having everything sounding like it came from an episode of Seinfeld!

I agree and they are working on it. You can of course use it to trigger midi so you could have Kontakt or something setup on a laptop

I never imagined we would put gadgets on our guitars to use them as midi controllers. It would be very cool if they added laser beams to create a guitar centric light show based on what is played 😁

Hi! This gear is amazing, but I have a question: if I change the tune of my guitar, for example define it for half step, or I totally change the tune like an open A, can I change the setting so the app can understand the new tuning? Thanks!

Spooky thing but actually quite cool. Is there a chance to "laser beam" the signal to a DAW? Or to record the sounds into something other than the iPad/Phone? Your video somehow got me intrigued - but the price is a hurdle. It was fun watching it. 😁

Light sabers look like laser beams but that ain’t, they plasma fields contained by magnetic…. Ya know what light sabers are just fun to play with!! It not that easy. I bought a OMB acoustic guitar, and try very hard still could not get it calibration right, it big BS to me I play guitar for long long time, try to get it like keyboard one man band but it don't work that way.
