Thanks! I am taking animation in school and they only had videos showing to how to do walk cycles for the CAT rig. I had to go with biped,so I needed something quick and efficient. Your video fit the bill!

Before you start moving any of the parts around to make a pose, select something on the leg, go to Key Info (Same manu as the Copy/Paste) and then press the slidding key icon. You will be able to get what you want for less work with the rotation and what not. Let me know if that helps.

I was trying to do this and I couldn't paste the poses in Auto key mode. I noticed someone further down in the comments found this problem too. The problem I had was that I was still in 'Figure Mode' when trying to paste the poses and this doesn't work. Make sure 'Figure Mode' is turned off. :) Cool tutorial!

using the 'set sliding key' on the feet makes it a bit easier- but you gotta know how to work with it

nope, key to key handmade animation for human motion is terrible, terrible idea and you will probably just learn lot of wrong habbits while you will also learn how to be satisfied with bad result (as you will put lot of effort even into doing simply and still bad, unrealistic animation)

you move the "Node" horizontaly, but for games you need the animation to be standing in place, and move the character through the scripts from game engine.

There are really three ways you can do it, if you translate the global control forward, then you get foot slip but there is a way to cancel out this effect quite easily. Sadly, I do not have enough space to explain that here.

This is not a very good walk cycle. The head, hips and back do not move, they should! You also need to add some lead and follow to the arms, it all moves at once and looks very robotic. I'd look up some walk reference, watch how the back, head and hips move.
