I’m not gonna lie, I felt like I could smell coffee when I saw the finished version. I don’t even like coffee?! 😂

Does it look realistic? Not at really. Does it sell a product? Absolutely. There is something about the uncanniness of this render that is very appealing. It's almost like a style in and of itself. Great work.

Most of the time people either have a lot of knowledge in technology or they have style. You have a lot of knowledge in the tech.

Thats really cool. Would even like a bit more slow paced video. On the other hand fast paced videos are easier to watch.

You did really really great! I dont know if its just me but when the liquid flows through the can it looks like a tongue and also the waving coffee transitioning to liquid wave doesnt hit it for me it felt not real! Other than that the rendering is perfect the animation is smooth. Keep up the work

First and last shot were amazing, the middle looks clunky imo. Great stuff tho, the beans look real af.
@edinspiegel11 ай бұрын
Thank you! Yeah I agree that the middle shots could use some work - especially shots 2,3 and 4 but I ran out of time - so I wasnt able to work on them anymore

Coffee usually being grinded. You left out the important part of ripping apart individual coffee beans to pieces. The fluid has low quality, no foam, no steam, no physics. These are the elements what would make a Coffee Commercial satisfying to look at. These could be done in houdini in high quality, but you using blender what has serious limitations. If something this tutorial shows us is that better not to do everyhing in blender because it's just can't look good enough. It's not about skill issue, it's about using the right tool for the right things.
@edinspiegel11 ай бұрын
I agree with you that those things could have made the commercial better - but I do not agree that blender was the limiting factor - the limiting factor was that I only had like 4 days to make this - houdini is much better for simulation & can do a lot of things that blender cant - but in this case the limit was not blender
