I really like how you have such a defined style for Masaki. For me even with my fave oc I can never seem to draw him the same way every time like that yet. Masaki always looks and feels like Masaki which is nice~such a cozy boi

Even if it’s not good, what improves you is to show the character personality. Every character has persona, right? So you just make any kind of emotions on ur character to make u feel proud (I’m sure it‘ll work!)

When you were talking abt the pose you did for him I felt that 😅😭 poses are so hard to do that show off the outfit too but I actually just recently found out a trick! If you look at vintage sewing patterns drawings you can get some interesting poses that show off the outfit. That was what those drawings on the patterns were for! Help for anyone else too like me who likes to draw reference sheets

I think for most artists, drawing refrance sheets for characters can be great, it opens doors for art trades, or doing art games like art fight, or Featured Character. It dosnt need to be extensive or clean but it’s fun. Also a way to keep things organized. I tend to include a front, back, under shirts or more clear art notes for clarity on different angles and key items. I don’t use text much except for name or explaining what items are.

I bought an iPad Pro m2 a weeks ago, but I am confused whether to buy an Apple Pencil or draw with my finger. Is there a difference? I am really used to drawing with my finger, I really don’t want to pay$400 for Apple Pencil i can draw with same results with my fingers I want your opinion, Rinspirit, because you always draw with Apple Pencil ❤

I feel like if you feel fine using your finger to draw (please take plenty of breaks and stretch though) then there is no need to buy the apple pencil. The apple pencil is there for you if you need it as an option but there is no reason to need to spend money on a tool if you feel like you do not need it. I draw with the apple pencil and the ipad because I am very used to drawing traditionally and i love the tactile feel! It feels more natural. Just use what is most comfortable for you, you can always purchase the pencil later down in your art journey!
