I think something I've learned from Seasons of Discovery is that we need bigger changes to the world and the overall experience. I believe simply changing the classes isn't enough, it's still just classic wow at the end of the day. I thought SoD would be amazing but after playing to 25 I realized the runes aren't enough. BFD and Gnomeregan isn't enough. It's still just levelling in classic wow, and we're done it before. It's no longer interesting. So I think something incredibly important to add to Conquest of Azeroth is new stuff to make it a new experience. Ascension already goes a long way towards this with arena, mythic plus, manastorms, etc... Which is awesome but I would hope to start seeing custom dungeons and quests and maybe even more and bigger things EVENTUALLY with CoA, not on release but after it having been out. Simply playing classic wow over again but with 21 classes will start to get novel VERY quickly, and then we need more content to do with these classes in this world. We're going to need more zones, dungeons, raids and new transmogs, gamemodes, stories, new reasons to play the game, it can't just be classic wow.

I am honestly just looking for good PvP in CoA, otherwise why would you even consider making 21 classes? Its obviously going to be a more PvP oriented server than PvE.

@@georgigeorgiev2451 I see it more as a revamped world of warcraft with a lot of flavour taken from warcraft 3, more options and a more modern class approach. I see room for both pvp and pve, and one of the main contributing factors of an MMO is that it's not just a pvp game, not just a pve game, it's a living world where you can make any character you want, play YOUR way and choose what you want to engage in.

Wait, CoA is coming out in the next couple of months? Have they even done all the custom questlines, class trainers and class questlines etc? Adjusted existing quests and rewards? Adjusted raids and group content etc? I was under the impression that work on that huge main chunk of it hasn't even started, and so far the only thing that's been done is the class design?

i always loved the pvp in COA excluding the few absolutly 100%absolutly op classes that would occasionally pop up but as a tinkerer it was so much fun just bouncing around with the detonation explosives or using the mechs for great flag carrying in bg's

I definitely will try this server, coz I like the idea of many classes and specs, but I have one question. I don't wanna waste time on some of those classes like shaman/rogue/ caster style. So what class or spec is the most closest version of typical frost death knight (dual wield would be great) or maybe balance druid? (Like is starcaller close to balance druid?)

Last time I played CoA (a few months ago) I felt completly overpowered for any content in the game outside of pvp. Would love to see the pve balance shifting more toward a vanilla experience rather than a dragonflight godmode experience when it comes to leveling and dungeons. Just watching you right there 2 shotting boars in full grey isn't something that I'm particualry found off. What made WoW good in the first place is that the leveling was part of the journey and right now, it feels pretty much just like classless with slower exp rate. I don't mind the slow leveling and would rather make it resolute, without any exp potion/aura on release and more engaging overall on your way to max.

I'd say necro. Rime plays kinda like frost or abomination (I think) is the unholy type playstyle with lots of pets. Obviously they differ quite a bit but they play probably the closest to that

In a design and player perspective I'd say it was the best call to split the "hybrid" specs since a lot of them clashed in a negative way that made one route significantly worse than the other (ex: blood mage; SoA) Since you love Blademaster a lot Mcdubs, is there significant enough changes to the spec since your last video to do a new video on?

Also to increase PvP player base they should give us single character transmogs for doing PvP and rating requirements for some. I’d say removing rating requirements for gear so everyone can grind it out and compete would also increase player base for PvP consistently.

One of mechanic tinker's main damaging ability has a windfury effect tied to it. And it does use 2 handers. You should give it a shot

also mcdoubs whats ur thought on rogue like games? would love to see one using the hots engine with multiplayer. there's one I've been playing on dota2 (last survivors) but its pretty pay to win and slow progression. Think blizzard or someone could come out with a triple A one fairly easy. Just give a good graphics multiplayer one but they don't. everyone uses the indy 2bit direction. A multiplayer death must die with good graphics I think would be sick.

I really want to try this out! I cannot wait for it to be released. As it is right now its not worth playing with such a small player base. I'm not one to play solo, just grinding quests. Besides I cannot afford to buy the alpha ATM with money being so stretched now a days. You keep saying it "Might" be out in a month or two. It never is. I'm so excited for CoA, I just worry it will follow the same gameplay loop of Ascension which will probably kill the enjoyment of the leveling and world building experience the way a game like this should be. I won't be playing long term if it's just leveling 1 - 60 in an hour then playing instanced content without any world to the MMO. I think classic, hardcore and most recently SoD are prime examples of what people want nowadays. Remove exp buffs, aura & potions, maybe increase base rate slightly Remove mana storm, release in 8 months between raid tiers once mana storm is more smoothed out and tooned for CoA. Remove callboard, it does not help with world building and just inflates the economy and trivializes gearing. Remove the bloody system, pvp server release. The systems for Ascension are for classless characters with zero gear type restrictions, if this is added to CoA it will just be Ascension 2.0.

Thank you for the CoA content! Do you have any plans to make sure that ascension easyness isnt fully invalidating all the time and effort you've spent on CoA? From the video it looks like you're a complete god at level 1, killing everything without any kind of struggle and while not even having any gear. In my opinion this makes it so the leveling journey is just a complete joke, ontop of getting the crazy amount of loot that is ascension is known for. Dungeons seem to be insanely easy and in the clips you showed noone was even taking damage. CoA classes will probably be lots of fun in ascended raids, raid trials, high manastorm levels and mythic+, but what about the journey to the endgame? Oneshotting everything until that point without any struggle is very very far away from WoW. A long time ago, in a video you were talking about things like character attachment, the journey and new player experience being very important parts of designing a game, and I feel like struggling and working on overcoming those struggles as a players are very crucial aspects of a successfull game aswell, is this something you still have on your radar?

I've never bugged out in a manastorm on CoA but personally for me starcaller has too many attack spells. I quite like the witch doctor tho, very easy to get the hang of.

The moment i started playing CoA back at 30 cap, i knew this was going to ne the greatest server. I think duskhaven was giving it some solid competition but idk whats going on with duskhaven anymore.
