Welcome to Auridon (Ep 5)! This is a 'lightly’ modded Cities Skylines series, although I do use a ton of mods the series will use mostly Vanilla (+DLC) game assets with only a handful of extras from the workshop. The focus of this build is on making a detailed city, with functional mass transit, including all DLC and content creator packs. 2022 ready!
Episode 5 focuses on how to plan and detail a mixed leisure, tourism and commercial waterfront complex using careful asset selection and placement and a lot of props! We also address the need for services, try to fix the not enough buyers for goods issues, and name our factory area. Lots of assets from the After Dark DLC in here.

I've taken massive inspiration for this build, and to start my channel, from the Cities: Skylines greats such as Biffa, Imperatur and City Planner Plays (among many many others I would add!!) but above all from the amazing OverchargedEgg and in particular his Palaven series which has heavily inspired this city. You can check that out here:
• Palaven - Cities Skyli...
And yes, if you've made it this far and was wondering... I am an Elder Scrolls fan :)

If you use the tree anarchy options you can set it to delete the trees where ever you build anything. Biffa used it in his last vid :) Saves time deleting trees just to put them back and it will save fps in the long run. Great vid again!

When there will be some big office building complex in the future you totally should have some kind of 'Williams-Holding' headquarter there. Maybe they own the brewery and the power station... and even co-founded that country club.

Hey FC I first and foremost want to thank you for taking the leap and creating content for this amazing game. I love each and every Skylines content creator. Each of them bring a unique style and keep the game fresh. They each have a creative and inspiring eye but let’s be honest the Skylines community was in need of a woman’s eye. I can build some amazing cities but when it comes to certain aspects I have to turn to my amazing wife and get her perspective on it. I haven’t been able to build a beautiful city without her help. I can make things look cool but my wife makes them look beautiful. I wish you the best of luck and can’t wait to see this channel take off. It only gets better from here!!

I love your builds, they look great, even when using a lot of Vanilla assets. Really happy for your growth, and to have found a great CS creator! And, if I may, it's so rare to have women creators, usually a very male-dominated, men-only area. So I really can't stress how glad I am to see a woman rising to the ranks! Do keep it up, I'm super excited for the Auridon series!

If I'm not mistaken, the police cars SHOULD absolutely be all reverse parked in a uniform manner. I know in the military we were supposed to reverse park so that we could drive straight out if needed in an emergency, so I imagine that it would be the same for the police. It was just when you said you'd put them all in randomly so they didn't seem uniform. Keep up the good work!

Something I always think of when I build bridges or raised roads now is Phil commenting on how prohibitively expensive bridges are "it's a lot cheaper to push some dirt around then build a bridge". Looking around that does appear to be true too, since most of the lead-ins to bridges are earthen, and the bridge span itself is fairly short. I know it's your build and you're going to do what you want, I just thought I'd mention it. I also realized that you sound very similar to this one guy I used to watch ages ago...well, at least your accent..for obvious reasons 😂😂 (And rip the poor doughnut squirrel, poor thing gets no love NinjaGrumpy)

wonderful 5th episode. FewC u are really skilled! If I may try a suggestion, in that LOVELY commercial spot you just did, I would detach the leftiest (your back at the river) low buildings block from the Club and lay another path in between. I actually, honestly, believe the Club would do better standing alone, but I can cope with the other side solution. But on the left side, imho, the smallest buildings would form a perfect "island" surrounded by paths and props. Just my 2 cents, ofc. Loving your work, super quality.
