Man, I always get so nostalgic when I see RPG Maker footage, always takes me back to my days as a kid playing around with RPG Maker XP. Really dig the idea of the game. Besides Narnia, I can also think of Final Fantasy X as sort of a sincere unironic isekai as well, which is my personal favorite Final Fantasy. I think that genre of story, when told sincerely, is really, really powerful.

I love your asset! It's so flexible to use for quick prototyping and the style is right up my alley. I'm making a game for my friends, we're all auto mechanics who work for the same dealership and we have to battle the other dealerships to get to the big boss lol. It's a game you can beat in a week but it's just for fun. All of my friends' faces are in it as well as our friends from the dealerships in our township😂 I'm making the same story in 2 other genres for kicks since the assets are all the same - beat 'em up and fighting game. I'm honoured to hear the story of your inspiration and I thank you for sharing it with us

I don't understand why dev vlogs arent more liked on youtube, I mean so many are so nicely done, and even if you dont understand many of the coding things, or animation, or litterly anything, I feel like you don't have to, it is still often a very enjoyable watch.

I also started game developing with rpg maker mv. But I found out that the engine can't help me creating the vision I have in my mind. So I tried and still try to learn unreal for my game. Even unreal is way more difficult than rpg maker.

WOW. I came here from UE marketplace. I've been dabbling in gamedev for a few years, built dozens of little systems and things as a hobby, but have never attempted to do make a complete game. In the last few months, I have decided to prototype out an idea I've had for some time now that is based on mid to late 90's jrpgs. Everything you've said in this video (except the story concept) has literally been exactly what I've been thinking for the last two months!!! I am looking forward to purchasing your products and digging deeper into your KZbin channel! *** Side note, I was playing Trails into Reverie as I was watch this video ***

You had me at Tales of Symphonia. If you were to aim for a game in that style but with about 10%-20% of the content might be a good target. Probem with RPGs is the amount of content they have, so you have to be cautious there.

I will see if I can email you, to talk because there is a lot of potential you just have to plan it out & have public awareness & avoid a major budget issue
