Awesome. Just realized after you save it as a template you can go to the outlook on taskbar and look for recent and then pin the template. I would of never figured this out without this video, thanks a bunch.

OK...now that I'm muddling through, I'm using a Mac, and my 16.59 version of Outlook actually has a "save as template" item on the menu. I don't get a URL the way you do. Do you have a Mac version and/or a more recent update on this tutorial?

FANTASTIC - Thank you so much. Subject lines are so important, but so frequently abused with no, not enough or unrelated info. Subject lines are critical for the receiver to have immediate context and reason to open, not to mention being able to quickly scan.

Odd that MS made it difficult to access templates. It's so much easier in Thunderbird, but I abandoned T-Bird for many reasons and find Outlook much more useful. These days, with Win10 at least, when you right-click on the taskbar icon for Outlook it shows whatever templates you ever used so you don't have to move them there. Thanks for the tip!!

Do you know if there is a way to group a bunch of templates together and send them to other colleagues to use? Hey Neil. I'm using outlook and i want to save a lot of template emails into a specific folder that can be accessed by several people. I got to the point where I saved a template into that folder but when I clicked on it and sent it as an email the template disappeared from the folder. As you've pinned it to the taskbar can I pin a template into a folder? Can you guide me on how to do this please
@amen_ra69265 жыл бұрын
Is there a way to do something similar but with a reply (or Reply All) that includes one or more attachment? I often get requests that require me to generally respond using the same body containing an HTML link and some attachments. I can use a template to create a new e-mail containing what I need but I can't use the template as a reply. I can create a Quick Step as a reply but there is no action to add attachments. You would think this would be a basic thing in Outlook.

I am using windows 10 with outlook 2016. when I attempt to pin the template folder to my outlook icon on my taskbar it won't pin. it has a red circle with a red line through it. I guess some permission is not permitting me to do this.

Hi Neil, I have the templates created and I can access them through the Templates folder, however, when I drag them to the Outlook icon they won't pin. Is there a setting in Outlook that I need to change? Any ideas?

I know this is years later, but is there a way to use this to reply to emails? Microsoft has broken a function that let people use templates when replying. Short of doing a select all and copy/paste, I am lost.

Hello! Great tutorial, but I just have a question. How can I share a template with my team? I've tried already and it seems impossible. I attached the template to an Email but they can´t open it once they receive the E-mail. I will appreciate your help!

Is there a way to save a template that will also save a custom from: email (I have multiple email inbox/emails in my outlook) and a custom signature? I have attempted to save as unicode and that seems to work but it will not save as a draft while I'm working on the email (usually adding multiple recipients ) throughout the day. It either over-writes my original template or, if I've made the template read only, just discard all of my work.
