these plastic pots are great. They´re cheap, they give you an idea of how it´ll look like in a ceramic pot and they´re deep enough so they don´t slow down the growth too much. I know, as a beginner you usually want instant results but patience is one of the most important thimngs in Bonsai. You can get a nice ceramic pot when the tree is more refined. I grow my young mame and shohin bonsai in joghurt cups, cream cheese packages and noodle soup cups. They get nice pots when they´re more refined.
