I would like to see more from your stile of music. I started a year ago playing with Ableton Live 11 and would like to learn more. So, please do more videos and show me a bit more how you create it in Ableton. I prefer the plugins that comes with Ableton, there are so many plugins on the market which are overwhelming for someone like me.

Great video. New subscriber here and I would love to see more content covering generative and ambient style production techniques and tools. Love the patch btw, made me feel like Im out for a midnight walk on the rainy streets of Neo-Tokyo among the replicants.

Thanks for listening. I am planning to do another one of these since there's lots of other generative tools in Ableton that I didn't talk about yet.

Love your opening words and as a lover and follower and maker of generative music myself I found your video very helpful in the way it stirred my creative soup pot some more and ready to try a few things that are new. Thanks. I have a site here with examples if you're interested. cheers.

Well well…in the beginning ,I start to open my window ,took a knife to cut my veins and jump out …😂 but then ,you start talking more and more about what you like and I feel the « joy » coming on your tone …if your life put you in such depress mode mate :then change life I tell you !!!! Otherwise ,very nice soundscape ,beautiful ambiance ,love your style …give me inspiration ! So ,thanks for that !Looking for more !

I like the Ableton synths just fine. Wavetable, Drift, and Operator are all great tools. Maybe try out Vital because it's free. All of those together can make any synth sound you can imagine.

@@drbrownmusic Thanks - Great news. So far all the Ableton synths kinda look the same, so I have some homework to do. I do have a couple of the free 3rd party ones, including Vital, & will try to work them in.

I love your vids …my biggest challenge has been figuring out if my version of Ableton can actually do some of this .. I have lite which I don’t think has the random or the follow features? I sometimes don’t even know what I need to pull off these tutorials
@drbrownmusic
@drbrownmusic Жыл бұрын
I don't have Lite installed, but it looks like it should have both the "Random" and "Scale" midi effects, which will allow you to randomize notes and quantize them to a scale. I think all versions of 11 will have follow actions and the chance function built into MIDI clips.

The biggest limitation in the free version is the 8 tracks limit. But, certainly for a beginner, that can't be a problem to learn Ableton. Once you get acknowledged with Ableton, you'll need a paying version, but you can have fun during a lot of hours before buying it...
