Experimental sounds and all is fine but ultimately one has to get (back) into the groove. Or get in there in the first time! Gotta get in touch with that earth chakra or whatever ;)

Do you have a preference to record your basslines or program midi notes into the octatrack? Recording definitely comes out more natural feeling than midi but for complex pieces I dont play that well so programming is a better option.

Well, as a given, I hope for happy little accidents so like you, I’m not the best keyboardist. However, knowing how to play something is helping. Especially how you can alter trigs to make it all sound more advanced. I’m even taking piano lessons just because I want to up the ante a bit

I tend to do that. I rush into building the biggest part of the track and then i have to deconstruct it in order to build it all out. I was thinking wow it's a bit fast then i realised i've been watching in 1.25x. I've got an MV-1 and a Casio XWG1 i would like to get everything in sync with my OB12 and CS20M for me its all a bit of a midi hole. I picked up a load of small keyboards but i also got a Juno Stage which is pretty decent. I have an XV20 20 and a novation 25. Playing with the idea of a bass station but i think i'm good with what i already have.

Just be carefull and put a hierarchy in place by selecting what band member does what. I also made that mistake by adding to much and then not getting to the nitty gritty. But yes, you have a nice collection of hardware

just the man im looking for! My typhon makes a hissing sound at full volume. Are you also getting any noise from the device when at full volume? on mine its its quite notoceable tbh

@@AnalogKitchen I think it's the usb power that causes the noise. I had an Arturia usb ground lead which helped sort the problem.

Is it not better to have an effects (or two) bus on your mixer ? That way you can adjust the effects to n the fly for any of your synths .

Well, it depends. Like cooking, you wouldn't throw the same spices on each ingredient. As such is my approach to fx boxes. Using it as if I would a guitar is how I set this up. If I need a more allround sound then I hear ya. But for the melodic techno sound, the fx directly on the bass is a genre specific thing. Dude that was a killer demo...that Typhon is doing the business, looks similar to the Taurus.i suppose you have to spend the money on equiptment that is reliable for a LIVE SHOW, ie would you trust Behringer devices??? PeaceFromOz

The B-Winger stuff works and does sound much like the original. Try it and if you want to go bigboi stylee, think of getting the real deal. The do sound and they're a little bit more reliable IMHO.
