Only the inexperienced ones. Those who know what they are doing can take the knowledge you share and transfer it to Blender. Don't judge us all by the bad eggs!

Thanks for this very useful tutorial. Would it be possible to use this technique (or similar) to procedurally create parts for sci-fi vehicles (spaceships, tanks, cars, etc)?
@paulneale4 жыл бұрын
Sure it is. Would have to consider what the designs are like how ever this sort of process can be applied to anything.

Only just found this video and it is super easy to follow and adapt to specification. Just one question though, how would you go about making a door using parts made? I have tried a couple of ways and they all end up not working out, so I am back to square one with the door. Any advice would be greatly appreciated thanks.

Paul, may I ask if you anytime tried to add "helpers" or something similar to this kind of modular-sets to make them easier to get used once finished? *For example, create a cube that cover each piece, which corner would snap perfectly with other pieces cube... I have been using standard cubes with options to not get rendered later, but Im wondering if there is any helper that could help on this topic.
@paulneale3 жыл бұрын
Just use Point Helpers. That is just like using Sockets in UE4.
@BioClone3 жыл бұрын
@@paulneale Will take a look at that, thx! *TBH I did not expected an answer... so imagine my surprise being it that fast! thx again for your content.

Nice work flow. I can see that the geometry has been smoothed automatically as max does. If you export this as a obj or fbx to different software you get strange results. You can clear all smoothing groups in edit pol and export, but the geometry looks lego. I place support loops and turbo smooth but it means a high vertex count. Is there any way round this?
@paulneale4 жыл бұрын
Looks great here on export so I don't know what you are doing. Make sure that you have turned on Smoothing Groups when you export.
