How can you transfer voices (singing) from another song into your own projekt, and adjust them the best way?
@Fesititi6 жыл бұрын
Interesting, I would have tried FM synthesis but I guess that works too. And I loved how it sounded when only one oscillator was routed through the filter which reminds me of a question. Can I route only one oscillator through the filter in the FX section so that I have a different filter for each oscillator? Up until now I have always made to patches and grouped them for processing. Another thing I have always wondered is how a lot of night time and forest artist do their squelches. Not necessarily how to make them, although it's always nice to see someone else's approach, but more how to sequence and arrange them. Are they one patch that gets modulated or are these multiple independent sounds or even a combination of both? And how do they sequence them in a coherent way and not have it sound like a jumbled mess? Would be really cool if you could tackle these kinds of sounds. An example would be this track from the new Kabayun album kzbin.info/www/bejne/h4vXoqePrr6daNE&ab_channel=psychedelicious It's basically all around the track although it can be best heard at about 2 minutes where the track isn't that busy.
@DashGlitch6 жыл бұрын
Thanks for the comment :) Check out my video about squelches kzbin.info/www/bejne/sJnFp3uamJqSebc Unfortunately Serum doesn't allow split Filter processing :/ yet
@Fesititi6 жыл бұрын
Dash Glitch Thanks for the reply. I've already watched that video but this was quite basic and not exactly what I meant. What I meant was how you can sequence squelches like a lead where the sound is constantly ongoing. I can't imagine that this is done by recording every single one.
@DashGlitch6 жыл бұрын
It's usually done using a complex LFO shape, like I explained in the video I posted in the previous comment, various variations of shapes etc

Hi Glitch, thanks for the tutorials! I was wondering if you could do a tutorial one of the leads in this Sienis track "Unchanger", either the lead at kzbin.info/www/bejne/q6m4kJ5rrbJ5ZsU (1:56) or the vocal chop at same time or, the lead at kzbin.info/www/bejne/q6m4kJ5rrbJ5ZsU (4:54). Your choice but I think the later is my favourite. Thanks bud! Love your work.

Hey man, love your video's! I was wondering, Could you maybe explain how the arpy sliding lead in Infected Mushrooms "Shakawkaw" is made? In the Vibe Tribe remix, it starts around 5:25 It has such a cool sound that I think can be used in so many creative ways other what this song is doing with it, and sounds as if it's not extremely hard to recreate, but i just cant get it right... kzbin.info/www/bejne/Z6rLgJ6Fq8eYm5o

Hey man ! great tutorials, watched pretty much all of them I see a lot of sound requests here and here, and all of them are for sounds that, in the end, seem rather "easy" to make, however, there is a particular sound that I've seen explained absolutely nowhere, and that nobody ever managed to explain me correctly, even when I asked some good producer friends. This is the lead starting at 2:40 in this track kzbin.info/www/bejne/haCToGtqYrl9irc This sounds like the classic electric universe lead, but on steroids, I assume it's made with some detune and fast cutoff, but the lead evolves so quickly and sounds so powerful, I have no idea how it's achieved thank you :)
@DashGlitch6 жыл бұрын
This sounds like a mix of this Timelock sound and the Mystical complex sound, very similar make up, Saw waves -> HPF filter -> Distortion :)
@SolitaryShelll6 жыл бұрын
Well, this is what I guessed, but I fail to recreate the same kind of speed. I dont know if there is a note every 1/16, each one with a different filter setting, or if this is the filter evolving very quickly on a single long note.... These 2 tutorials are awesome but the sounds are far less quick and agressive than the kind of result I'd like :(
@SolitaryShelll6 жыл бұрын
Also, if you have an idea one how to make that metallic groove before this section at 2:12, it sounds like FM but once again, electric universe has such an unique and pure sound design that always amazed me, I'm not even sure it's FM, could be granular synthesis with percussive elements :p thanks for your answers anyway :)
@DashGlitch6 жыл бұрын
The difference you are hearing is in the Envelopes and possibly post-effects, something like a gate/expander to accentuate the gaps inbetween the notes ;) it's definitely the same fundamental principles of sound though
@DashGlitch6 жыл бұрын
The sound at 2:12 is undoubtedly FM, similar again to the FM "gritty" sound in one of my tutorials, with more "aggressive" envelopes again ;)
