As a nurse at your age you should remember the Sabin live viris ( misspelt on purpose) vax for polio . Sabin used natural selection to evolve a weaker strain that didn’t cause symptoms . Evolution is used in medical research and has been for the past 120 years. Any advanced medical or surgical techniques rely on the fact that we’re related to other organisms!

@@dancingnatureThis isn’t evolution. This has nothing to do with the origin of life or the molecular machinery of the cell. Minor genetic change in an existing life form, notwithstanding viruses being controversial as to whether they are living or nonliving, is acknowledged by everyone but gets us nowhere when it comes to the idea that life came from star dust by chemical action. Saying that we are related to other organisms is an equivocation or an ambiguity of terms which might suggest that we came from fish, amphibians, or monkeys which has never been proven; it is a materialist assumption. In fact, species have boundaries or limitations of change.

Oh, this is a real find. I’ve had evolutionists to ask me why we don’t see bunny fossils with dinosaur fossils. Well, as far as I know, human fossils, which are exceedingly rare, are also not found with bunny fossils. (Though I have heard of a fossil of a mammal showing a small dinosaur being digested inside it.) But who cares about the bunnies? Now we have this terrific fossil evidence of a mammal and a dinosaur fighting each other. Too cool. This makes me think of all the Bible antagonists who would say things like so-and-so never existed, and such and such place can’t be found outside of the Bible, and so on. But with further digs, those very places and things have become extremely verified.

How about a visit to a place unaffected by any flood, real or biblically imagined? Read about Ashfall Fossil Beds State Historical Park in northeast Nebraska, also a very devout, very red state. Here are several small flocks of completely intact fossils of now-extinct mammals from about 12,000,000 years ago (about 8 inches on a football field representing the age of the earth) which were covered by ash from a volcanic eruption further west. No dinosaurs, because they died out about 50-60 million years earlier. There is however real concrete fossil evidence that dinosaurs and mammals coexisted back 1/2 billion years ago.

@@23Raind What does “younger layer” even mean? There is no apparent sign (concrete physical evidence) of any deep time in any geological layer. The only “apparent” deep time is what people imagine from scratching out formulas or pretending evolution is real. So any given layer could have been laid down within minutes of the previous one and you would have no idea how much time has passed.
@mmaimmortals
@mmaimmortals Жыл бұрын
@kattykitters5310 There are countless geologic formations impossible to form in a one year flood event. -Agreed. It’s a straw man to assume any given formation was from the Flood if informed creationists don’t think it was. Things like angular unconformities which take multiple geologic steps requiring millions of years each to form. -Has anyone run a million year long experiment to validate this as absolute fact? Or do people just claim this without testing at all so that they can demonstrate how unfalsifiable evolution really is? In reality, angular unconformities are clear geological evidences that something catastrophic caused them. Namely, the very flat contacts that lack any signs of deep time weathering, along with the lack of differential erosion between layers of differing hardnesses. Multiple layers can form simultaneously in a single flow, uplift takes seconds, not tens of thousands to millions of years, and subsequent debris flows can create planation surfaces in seconds to minutes. This can be replicated experimentally, whereas millions of years cannot. Or 180 degree switchback meanders incised into solid rock with thousand foot vertical sides. See Goosenecks State Park on the San Juan River in Utah. The switchback meanders couldn't have been carved when the strata was soft because soft mud will slump, not form vertical walls. Water moving fast enough to carve quickly through rock would blast straight channels, not meandering switchbacks. -You clearly don’t understand hydrodynamics to say such things. And you clearly haven’t reviewed the physical evidence at Gooseneck very well to be offering up either this or uniformitarian solutions as the only possible explanations. The only way the Goosenecks formed is by a slowly flowing meandering river which gradually eroded the existing hard rock. -Well, at least you didn’t say millions of years this time. Because I’m pretty sure no one has run that experiment for millions of years either. After looking at the pictures of Gooseneck, it does not appear to be cut in soft rock, it does not appear to be cut in hard rock very quickly either. But it also does not appear to be cut that way over long ages (deep time) by a “slow meandering river” either. What it actually appears to be is perhaps a post Flood series of episodic surges. Like several annual high rise flows from very wet weather. This is apparent in the numerous steps going up the walls of the river’s sides. Had deep time been involved, those very vertical looking sides would have been obliterated. Erosion is fastest where surfaces are more vertical. So once again, there isn’t a shred of apparent deep time in these formations as you’ve proposed.
