This is my first time watching you…I feel as if people or things enter your life when you are most receptive to them, if you pay attention. I’m discovering my artistic side after years of suppressing it, actually as an adult. I’m 63. I have no training in art, but have seen some wonderful mentors on KZbin. Unlike many, Covid-19 has allowed me to explore the depth of me and bring out my desire to create. I’ve found a new energy and for the first time in more years than I can count, I don’t feel burdened by my depression and anxiety as much. I listened and watched your video and understand how burdened our life can be if we don’t take the time to do what relaxes and makes us happy and at peace with ourselves.

I have been certified in Zentangle, which is much like your doodles. But like anything, your art skills get to a point where you need more and you have given me that! I have a yard full of flowers and if I squint, I can see abstracts to paint.

@@janefranco8856 I'm 68 and a fairly recent 'fan' of CeeCee. As a very young child I'd wake up before everyone else and before school to draw and paint...took art courses for years...then had to focus on earning a living...am just now returning to my first love in earnest. It's good to have a feeling of community with others who love to create, to paint and draw. Namaste.

I love your honesty. I’m almost 60 and a full time nurse. What I really would love is more free time to do art! With Covid and the need to still earn a weekly paycheck, not always able to do that. I dream about my studio while at work, but I’m not even that good, lol. Your voice and story telling is so soothing for me and appreciate your thoughts. You’ve again inspired me how important the art is to my mental health ….no matter how good at it I may be. I often wonder Is there a reason my soul craves it? Maybe this is Gods gift to soothe my soul. Thank you again.I love your work.

Dear Nurse...firstly I salute you🙏. You could use very easy and your favourite medium like watercolour/Gouache/ pastel pencils/ watercolour pencils/ everyday just 15 minutes.if you do that after your day job before sleep everyday...it becomes a habit and very very relaxing. I use pastel pencils...just open my stabilo carbathello pencil box and pastelmat paper ...just start...do 15 minutes after my hectic day. It's very relaxing.keep everything ready just open and set in less than a minute to do art. Keep Pinterest in your tablet for reference photo. You could use Jason Morgan you tube for pastels.he is the best. I identify with you as I'm in a medical field too with long days and night shifts.

Dear J, RN: I feel you! ...years ( 36!) of nursing and always the longing to attend my creative side. Now 63 and blessed to have the materials and space and time because i quit my job, the joy is so deep. I'm leaping into faith about finances. Wild trust. Slowing down is calling too sweetly to resist. I can assure you that even while working FT, the moments--- hard-won and intermittent---- dedicated to painting sustained me long enough to get me through the rough periods of burn-out and doubt and yearning. Yes, your health ( all realms) is whispering for care and nurturance. As suggested here, just a few supplies and a 15 minute retreat each day and you'll be fed. Dear J, I wish you creative joy!

I do agree with you and thank you for the necessary work you do, however creativity is SO important to creative minds. When life gets to be to busy for art I get out of sorts and scattered so I try to leave a small amount of supplies out in view so it will call to me…if I only have time to make a bookmark or greeting card…or part of one, it’s satisfying that need!

The process reminds me of looking up at the clouds and finding shapes - something we all did as kids. The outcome is beautiful but more important, the process itself is soothing. Art as a healer - a win-win.

That's exactly my thoughts. Looking at the clouds and finding shapes...even in walls, floors, tree trunks....anywhere we look, we can find shapes, faces. This video made me do the same thing with blobs of watercolor. I did one, and it was so much fun!

thank you for your video it made a lot of sense. I am 70 and found during Covid lockdown I turned to my art to help me relax and cope with the many stresses in life. I bought good quality pencils and began doing portraits but only for myself not to sell. Since I went back to work I decided I needed to carry on with my art and it was important to make the time to do it. So I cut my hours at work and now only do two days instead of three. My artwork was important and as long as I can live on what I have coming in then that’s what I’d do. Who knows how long we have left to live and enjoying that time is very important.

I love all kinds of art. For whatever reason I decided to pick up watercolour about three years ago. It’s much harder than I anticipated, but I’m determined to keep at it . I discovered you right off the hop. I am always drawn to your style. You give me the courage and reason to carry on with my art work, no matter how defeating art or life can get. You’re a blessing to me, and sitting down to doodle with Ceecee takes me away , like a Calgon moment every time ! LOL. Seriously , you’re like the best counsel or medicine I could ask for. You inspire me so much. I’ve recently retired from a 44 year profession and will probably need to supplement my income eventually, I’ve set up a studio for myself and am determined to do this. Thank you for the hours of enjoyment and skill you have passed along. It’s invaluable.❤️

Really like what’s happening to your artwork! I’m sort of going thru the same thing… only I’m newer. I taught myself to watercolor last winter. Next thing I knew I had joined a watercolor Facebook group and the second I did it it didn’t feel good. Instead of creating being a peaceful meditative process I was suddenly getting slammed with challenges I had no interest in painting and that felt too hard for me. I told myself it’s good for me, that I will get better because of it. Instead what happened is I felt miserable every time I sat down, overwhelmed and full of anxiety. After several months some part of me had had enough and I walked away and haven’t touched anything since. I don’t think force is the right way. I noticed the last video you put out I began to feel inspired again… I love what you do with watercolor and colored pencil ♥️

i'm glad the videos are inspiring, Susan. Art should never feel uncomfortable. i think we all start at different places and we need to be gentle with ourselves. if it's too much pressure, ease up a bit and try a more simple approach. if one day you wake up and feel like filling up a page with circles or dots or lines... give yourself permission to do so and keep going. along the way, an idea will pop up and another art adventure will begin. wishing you many many hours of joyful creations!

We have so many expectations when we sit down in front of a sheet of paper. The expectations are what may be making you feel anxiety. Just throw some color around- play with the water & paint. Don’t expect anything great. Don’t worry about using the paper. Just do lines& circles. And let the color & moving paint take you away.

Beautiful CeeCee! I don't know what you've gone through to bring you to this point but it's truly lovely. I know that during one of the absolute darkest moments of my life, I had to did down deep - deep within myself, to find a place of peace. In that place, I rediscovered my love of watercolours and painting with my grandmother and it truly and honestly saved me. I'm not sure I would have made it without art. Hearing myself say that sounds so corny but I was going through something so horrific, I don't know how else I would have survived. Either way, I've never stopped, never looked back. You sound happy and at peace - I hope you've found your place too. xx

After raising 5 children, I am having to learn how to make the time for the peaceful moments that come with doing what I love. And it is okay to make the time for those moments. Especially now that my children are all adults. Beautiful piece! Blessings to you. ✨

You have no idea just how much you have inspired me to return to painting CeeCee...these past 2 years and some even longer depending where you live in the world has been a tremendous struggle for many of us but looking forward to your phenomenal videos each week and learning and gaining wisdom from your words and your peace and your soul that you so genuinely share with all of us...has given me such a gift! I have been an Artist/Photographer for most of my life...I just turned 66 this past July and at least 50 of those 66 years I have spent with either a colored pencil...a brush...a pastel...or a camera in my hands! I studied Art in College several times in my life and always loved learning and improving my skills so that my creativity could take root in areas of where my passions would lead me...a few years ago I just did not know where all of this was leading me to...and I became truly stuck and just had no passion in me to create or to enjoy color like I always had for most of my life...that drive, that feeling...that voice in my head which spoke to me and directed me to pick up that pencil or brush...and to begin to create was just not there...and I became sadly depressed..and frustrated...and eventually became dangerously sick with the Virus who's name I dare not speak...I was vaccinated in Jan/Feb so getting this sick was not even in the cards as far as I was concerned!..After all I am an Artist an I had much more important things to be concerned about!..soooooo while almost leaving this planet and crossing over the Rainbow Bridge myself I thru the grace of God and the prayers of so many I gratefully began to recover and started watching all of your videos, became a Patreon, and finding my artistic center once again!!...you truly spoke to me CeeCee...and with your amazing spirit and sage wisdom I felt that spark reignite inside me and I cannot even tell you just how thankful I am for you to have been so instrumental in getting me back with a pencil...or a pen..or a pastel...or a brush...or my too expensive to tell anyone about camera in my creative hands again CeeCee!!! Thank you from the bottom of my heart for all that you have done for me and so many others!...you are an amazing Artist and a true Blessing to all of us! God bless...Rus from Pennsylvania!

Cee Cee; Your work is like medicine or music or nature walks, just nourishing in essence, no translation needed by the mind. Thank you especially for your leap into trust in this past period. Your doing so confers faith and sustenance for all who view your work and even quietly out to the far corners of the universe. Courage observed begets courage, so thank you. Truth is, the last place we think to look is where everything we desire is found: right here, inside, as you are radiating so sweetly. As well as the inner lessons, i have learned technique and theory beautifully here. A boon for the self-taught! Your generosity shines bright! THE LIGHT SOURCE in all your work is....you!

Your story was so inspiring for me, I am turning 64 next month and so many times I doubt myself and the art I create, I think I feel confused mostly, but...that's beside the point...I really appreciate your willingness to share a part of yourself while creating such beautiful art.

CeeCee I am going through a horrible family situation just now and I cannot tell you how much this video meant to me today. To take 20 minutes out of the day and sit quietly watching you create yet another masterpiece was the best "gift" I could have received today. I am absolutely in awe of the paintings you create, and somewhat determined to try and master some of your techniques in the weeks, months and years ahead. I am so pleased that you are feeling better and more confident .... stay strong and stay safe ... much love

Thank you so much dear CeeCee, your words are as important, enlightening and precious as your wonderful art. ❤️❤️❤️ I deeply esteem someone so important that speaks openly about the importance of slowing down, recharging, reflecting, when needed, in a world that pushes people to just rush, appear, sell like crazy and forget to think.

I’m happy for you, Ceecee. I love your art. Your flowers, your trees, your blobs they are all inspiration to me. Your use of color is so unique. And speaking of color-bring it on. I have plenty of tubes of paint and lots of nice pencils waiting to follow your lead! I’m glad you’ve found a way to handle whatever curve life through at you!

You were the one that first inspired me at the age of 67 to start to draw and paint, when really a stick man was the only thing I accomplished for some time, 9 months later I am so much better, I loved those doodles, but also love your colouring pencils, thank you.
