Ironically when my song "The Lost Art Of Love" was reviewed on Mike's show I had trouble making some of the adjustments they suggested. I then got Ozone 10 and used the new Mastering Assistant and it fixed those problems right away

Compare the versions. The standard does not have all the features of the advanced version.

@@couldnt_find_good_name2546 yeah I only have standard 9 now but after upgrading to Kontakt 14 it's probably only gonna be $99 to upgrade to Ozone 10 Advanced. It's only $200 to upgrade to Kontakt 14 Standard so I'm basically gonna get Kontakt 14 free for buying Izotope 10 🤣

HI Mike.. love the channel !!! two quick questions, possibly newb questions but I'll take my chances :) are you running this on cakewalk? (the Ozone web site doesn't say that cakewalk is supported) and is it the last plug in on your master buss? ? I ask about the master buss because I use ozone 9 but stand alone only and this one looks only to be VST) thanks !!! and keep up the great work Derek

Can you explain why the maximiser threshold reads -11.0 LUFS when you had the master assistant on streaming (isn't the usual threshold for streaming services -14.00 LUFS?

Wow, Mike, great video/great job, and you didn't FLY through it "time-wise", as you always take your time in explaining. One Vid on this plugin didnt even explain Speed! I just got this upgrade--the Advanced module--- last night, and so far, well worth the $149 upgrade fee. I am now mastering 5 songs, but now am gonna go back and put in 10 over my 9, and see what happens and hopefully a better conclusion. I also got RX10 Standard upgrade at $99, so I will watch your Vid on that one too. Izotope doesn't seem to have these plugin user manuals done yet. Shame on them.

My issue with Ozone is that it smashes transients and removes almost all semblance of dynamics in the track. I mixed two tracks then did a final master pass; one in Ozone 9 Advanced and the other using SSL plugins and a UC1. I like the Ozone Master chain and it's ability to separate track elements but prefer the dynamics of the SSL Master chain. I'm working on a workflow to combine the best of both worlds.

Does this simple and effective plugin finally join the unnecessary divide between mixing and mastering for the home user? Mix to -3dB and stick this on your master bus with a 16bit dither.

Not sure I fully understand the sliders on Impact. I understand that sliding down increases compression, so less difference between quiet and loud. But if if sliding up is the opposite and increases the difference between quiet loud, what were you trying to achieve with this on the rim shot?

​@@billpodolak7754 Thank you for the reply! The DAW takes much longer to load (when you have a ton of plugins installed, which I have) as the single application of Ozone 9. When you have different computers for music making and mastering now with Ozone 10 every one must have a DAW installed. I liked the possibility in Ozone 9 to load other plugins directly in its master chain.
