I’m trying to take the sales aspect of things very seriously now. This month I’ve gotten 1+ sale per day for my sponsorship which sells hair products The goal is to have a 1K month by/ during August

This is so good! Thank you, Ed. As a coach I keep hearing start with 1 on 1 calls, and things have been moving slowly, and I think it's the trust ladder is somewhat missing. I've got my channel, but none of the lower rungs in place, yet.

5:50 - Hey Ed, great vid as always. Quick note though - I hear that Google is blocking all calendar integrations (Calendly, etc.) and NOT adding appointments. Why? Google is releasing a paid competitor that’s a calendar booking system, and they’re cutting those others out. My friends have missed a few client calls that way so I figured I’d let you know.

Wait what! How much did you say it cost you to run your channel? $120k!!! What on earth are you spending it on? I'm using the classic windows movie maker on a 10 year old computer so you can guess what I'm spending. My channel is doing ok I think, what do you think? Love your content btw it has definitely helped me.

Thanks Ed (as always) A Question - should you offer the goods in UK or Dollars, as we are based in UK, I know for example many of my audience are not UK based, I use stripe which can be multi currency , but setting a value eg $10 or £8 ?

@@creator-booth Same, I don't regret starting with it though as it really does offer everything you need in one place which is huge in the beginning. I now use convertkit and no more complaints since I switched. I would also add that beehiv seems to work very well especially because of the incredible pricing

What advice would you give to someone who hasn’t done SEO for anyone else other than themselves, but is about to be asked by a kinda-friend who runs a local small business? (It’s a fitness type business) They need help with social media posts, setting up a blog on their pre-existing website and populating it with regular and consistent posts. They’ll also need help with link creation. It’ll be a long term commitment with the option to hand it over to them 6 to 12 months from the start date (unless they just want to push it over to me indefinitely). I know there are a ton of factors that need to be considered but I’m only looking for a rough idea. This isn’t a professional contract (although I’m sure they will want a professional job lol) but the discussion of compensation will come up and I have no clue. I can do the work with my eyes closed, but for how much?

Would it be a good idea to have a free option to start. Like a once a week news letter. Than you can use that news letter down the track to sell those other steps of the ladder

I liked your videos a lot! But in comparison to the quality of the videos in the Film Booth channel, these videos are like 40 out of 100! They were waaaaaaay more engaging and fun to watch! (Honestly, some of them I watched like 5+ times and never realized how time passed during the watch time!) So hope to see more of those levels of quality here as well! :))

4 steps or ways to make money. I’m doing 3 of them and love step 3 the most, however, for each of these you need an audience, you need buyers….because even if you have a low or high ticket offer, without buyers,,,,you get nothing. So maybe you could add that to your next video 😀👍🙏

Yes to all but do the opposite...start with higher level 1:1 - it can actually be easier to sell 1-2 of these per month, you get a better client, get to work with them directly with a ton more focus and you have an immediate feedback loop - all of which can then be focused to masterfully create the lower end because you have all the answers from doing the higher end with ideally a lot less frustration...most won't as there is supreme fear in even creating something small, I haven't yet gotten over the fear element yet I have seen others do it successfully...consider also how much more fun the interaction with people can be...
@creator-booth

Buy me a coffee allows you to gather emails for free, send emails/updates/videos/blog posts/pictures to any members (free to me, can be as cheap as $1 a month for members, but I recommend not overwhelming them with email notifications) or previous on-time donors, allows me to sell digital products to anyone (and provide discounts to members), you can sell zoom meeting access, book commissions for projects, etc. They have no out of pocket recurring costs, but do take 5% of your earnings on each sale. Low risk to the creator, with multiple "ladder rung" options to sell to the supporter. To me, this is the easiest way for a creator to build a supporting community without building their own web page or spending a lot of money.
