Yes ! I like this type of 'genre'. To me, it has quite a frightening tone to it. This film does have a 'triple peril' ! Poison gas, killer robots and zombies. I usually don't like these 'extras' as I find them a bit unnecessary. Saw a 1950's British 'godzilla' type monster film not long a go, which had a big indestructible monster that crushed people underfoot AND also killed people off with deadly radiation ! No need !

Thank you all for your wonderful thoughts, wishes, comments and donations. I was nearly in tears. Bless you all :)! I would like to make a final warning about Monday's Solar Eclipse. You see, back in 2017 there was a partial Eclipse in the South-Eastern part of Canada - and in Toronto. I went to a local library to see the event. The place was crowded with people, media and lots of telescopes and TV cameras. I remember watching a young lad crying to his Mom who was searching in her purse/bag to take out the proper eye wear. The boy was was excited that he happened to look up at the Sun. He cried. Because he yelled out that he couldn't see so much after a few seconds went by. People gathered around and I saw a tall man escorting the Mom and Son out of the park. I looked around and I noticed that people were talking about the boy losing some sight. I imagined the man drove them to a hospital. I still think about that even to this day. However - when the Eclipse reaches its peak. Stop! And look around you and listen. The color of the lawn turns from green to light brown and the birds stop singing. It is such an eerie sight and feeling. It's like you're on a different Earth - all this for about 2 to 3 minutes. Then, it's back to normal. For that 2 to 3 minutes - I, (we) felt . . . . united. So, please take care. Enjoy your Eclipse day for those who are on its path and I'll be seeing you all next week :)! (Come on Gertrude, let's pack up and go home. It's been a long night).

Back in the 70's when I was in elementary school I used to look up at the sun for fun, I didn't do it a lot, maybe a dozen times total, but when I would stare long enough at it, it would make me sneeze, each and every single time, and one time something similar happened to me, but I was smart enough and not coddled like he was, I didn't cry over every single thing, but I noticed a couple times that when I would stop staring and look back down I'd see nothing but white along with like a ring of the environment around me, within a few seconds everything went back to normal. I also found that I'm not the only one, "Profile photo for Gonzalo Pelaez Gonzalo Pelaez age 70, civil engineer (structural, hydraulics, forensic)philosopher, pedagogueAuthor has 1.6K answers and 2M answer views7y" "I don't know...but I'm 70 years old and I can recall when I was a kid, more or less 7 years old we used to have competitions with other kids at who stared at the sun the longest, I played this game many times, I'm not blind...yet"

@@armybeef68 To tell you the truth armybeef, I myself did the same. Almost. When I was young. This happened in the Summer time. I remember looking at Sunsets and it always looked safe and pretty, which it was. But during the Summer time daylight hours, I couldn't stand it. I felt like I was going to melt. I needed shade. Even when I took the bus home, I made sure I would find a seat so the Sun doesn't shine in my face through the bus's windows. The Sun has many effects on people. Some love it. Some hate it. For myself - I prefer to sit under a nice shady tree and watch the World go by :) Thank you for your reply :)

At the last eclipse in are area I was only about six or so and couldn't find my special glasses or my reflective box I made in school, so like any six or seven year old boy I looked up at the Sun and Watched the eclipse happen til my sister saw me and came running out with my reflective box, so I will never know if the rumours are true about going blind while watching the eclipse???!!!Gary Bailey KingofDarkness Thankfully
@janetcraft7 ай бұрын
@@GaryBailey-hk4ex Nice story Gary. However, I don't think people actually go blind on the spot when viewing the Sun eclipse. We all know, as humans, that the Sun is much too bright for our eyes to adjust so quickly - so we avoid looking at it just by our eyes alone. I do get Snowblind when the snow is on the ground and the Sun shines brightly on a winter's day, that it literally blinds me when I step inside my home. That to me is scary. Also, even if you look through a telescope at the bright Full Moon, that can blind you temporarly as well. So yes - be extra careful when viewing these celestial objects. Our Sun is powerful even though it is in its middle age of its life.

The movie reference to the Man-eater was the movie The Ghost and The Darkness. Unfortunately for Vincent, it was two extraordinary lions, not a tiger. Tigers are not native to Africa, but to India and to China, Southeast Asia and Sumatra. The Man-eaters (there were two of them) of Tsavo, between the two killed close to 200 men before they were killed. You can see them in the Chicago Field Museum as they were stuffed and put on display. The only thing about them, is that they were much bigger than normal male lions and they had no manes. (I hope I get the quote right) At the end of the movie Samuel does a voice over and he says "...I dare you to look into their eyes, and NOT be afraid." The Ghost and The Darkness is a great movie with Michael Douglas and Val Kilmer. Too bad you can't get it for Creature Features.

You don't need 3 reading to pinpoint a location. In Vietnam, the Army Security Agency although not called that, we had two units going into the field. When one picked up a Viet Cong or NVA he would tell the other unit the frequency and they would pinpoint the enemy's location.

If you look at the Apollo 11 mission and compare it to the Apollo 17 final mission, the space suits looked more lighter and carried more oxygen, plus the Apollo 17 astronauts stayed much longer on the Moon's surface than than Apollo 11 did.
