I have the same thoughts but slightly skewed. He shows compassion in the end because he seen he was being beat twice...and it's not worth it...Remember what Rocky said to Adrian before the fight? "But to beat me he's gonna have to kill me, and to kill me he's gotta have the guts to stand in front of me, and to do that he's gotta be willin to die himself." When he seen his son hurt and defensless and Adonis going on and on to the point where he would kill him, it's the exact reverse...he almost witnessed what he did to Apollo but to his son...he threw in the towel. Rocky didn't....it's a great movie...I just watched it twice...it's been a while lol

Alexander gained the extra weight so he could fight at Tito's weight class (light heavyweight)... and got knocked the fuck out :P

I think that I'd have act 1 kind of blended with the end of Creed 2 timeline, so you get the end of Creed v Drago 2, the Rocky Adonis farewell fist bump, the deleted scene "we're more than just one fight", then maybe, doesn't have to be, but maybe Rocky and the Creeds back at Mary Anne's place with Rocky saying that he's going to go up to Vancouver to see his son, then Rockys last Creed 2 scene, don't need to replay Adonis and fam at Apollo's grave. Family drama for a while, Adonis has for whatever reason a fight in Canad at the end which Rocky, his son and grandson can attend from the crowd as Rockys ending cameo, maybe a brief stare, nod or fistbump shared between Rocky and Donnie but they don't need to share a major scene. The franchise acknowledges and honours Sly and Rocky, closes out his story, and becomes Creeds franchise.

I’ve always been a fan of Dolph, I was a kid that liked the bad guys, Vader in Star Wars and Drago,Creed and Lang in Rocky. It’s funny how many memories this brings up from my childhood.
