I was fishing the Sante Fe yesterday when I saw a MASSIVE Snook trailing my lure. I’ve had buddies catch em on the Suwannee but this is the first I’ve seen em there, talk about a surprise seeing such a large fish in that river that wasn’t a sturgeon or blue cat. Really put things in perspective, and there I was just trying to catch a 1lb Suwannee bass when legendary fish were swimmin around.

I grew up near a town called Branford. The Suwannee, Sante Fe and Ichetucknee rivers all connect in that area! I’m happy to see you enjoy the Santa Fe as I did! Keep up the great fishing videos and God Bless! Oh, I’ll be fishing the Everglades off of US41 Tamiami in a couple weeks! I hope to see more Everglades content on your channel!

Nice fencing around that spring to keep the gators and other things out. You wouldn't catch me kayaking or swimming in ANY water south of NC, let alone in deadly FL freshwater.

I see you seem to be enjoying the new kayak. How are you on the lighter boat making it easier to load and unload and paddle vs. The big boats having a peddle system. I know without a doubt in faster shallower water the light yak is the way to go but watching this video it's kinda hard to tell but did you miss the peddles?

John can you use trolling motor on kayaks in the springs you are fishing in Florida and do they have regular boat ramps?
@brianwest5348 Жыл бұрын
If it has a motor it has to be registered, but other than that it's fine. Areas off limits will usually be blocked and there are boat ramps on the Santa Fe.
@CreekFishingAdventures Жыл бұрын
there were boats on the river
@douglasmedlin7159 Жыл бұрын
Thanks for the response. Have a bluesky boat works pro 360, considered a kayak but it more like a hybrid. Since my accident can't squat to sit in a regular kayak or use a peddle drive.

Any chance you can do a review of different kayak types, and which excels for different conditions? I know you seem to use the old towns in bigger waters, and seem to like the smaller kayak you were using for smaller water. How do you pick? It would be great for those of us that would like to pick up a kayak, and make a good choice the first time

Brother John: Thought I'd tell ya-That new Orange Craw that you were fishin' with, in the first part of this video, looks to be a real game-changer! Those Bass were all over that Lure, almost like white on rice! I wasn't too much on the second lure that you used...the Chapo...or whatever it's called. As for near the end of the video, those were some really nice Bass! Especially the biggest one that you caught! I was totally shocked and surprised that you caught as many Bass and Sunfish as you did, being that it's only the 4th of January. If today is any indication of what kind of a year that it's gonna be for you, fishing-wise, then it should be a great year for you! Love your Scripture Verse, too. Nothing can take a Christian away from God, and his love for us. I get emotional, when I think of how it is written, that, if we do sin (Whether it's momentarily, or if we even end up backsliding), that if we'll just be like the Prodigal Son, and come back to Almighty God, the Holy Bible tells us, that he will abundantly pardon us, forgive our sins and backslidings, and he will FILLY RESTORE US, for the Bible tells us that Our God will abundantly pardon!!! The Precious Shed Blood of Jesus Christ will cover every sin we've ever committed! I praise God for that! Hallelujah!!!
