What made this build POP was Profane Bloom, used with a curse linked to blasphemy. It is insane for clear. You can use Impressense amulet for free frostbite that you can link to increase area of effect and anything else you want to cause it's free to reserve. Other than that, Creeping frost lvl 21, +1 on shield, +1 on wand. Insane boost.

Thx for this! Would never have played Creeping Frost but really enjoying it so far. Also found Frost Shield useful. Linked it to Bonechill for DPS boost on enemies inside the bubble. Still great defense and adds some offense for essences, chests & bosses. Bosses with Vaal RF + Vaal CS + FS-BC = feelsgoodman.

I leagued started this build and it did me really well. I did have a few bullshit oneshots in Heist but none like you showed, mine were all to demolition doors against Templars. IE: giant piles of hard to see runes blowing me up. Creeping Frost was a great starter with such a low budget. Made some money so I could pivot to Archmage Scion and now I'm just facerolling everything with my second character.

Works very good in SSF. Just T5 now, very tanky with crappy gear and 6300 EHP. Can definitely recommend this.

I like spell echo, archanist brand, lightning brand, for proc and conductivity. As well as cast on damage taken, cold snap, and wave of conviction on lvl 8. For effect VS costs.

Last league I played a tectonic slam chief and one of the cool things you could do was slam, then open a door and that would make the aoe and damage from the slam instant as soon as the door opens. I’m imagining this could be used in heist to blow up the enemies before they even know the door opened

this build is doing me well. i started as hexblast but respeced into something very similar to this. going to be changing some things around, trying to go LL and fit in MoM as well. there seems some pretty good opportunity to get some crazy ES amounts this league with 25% inc max es as implicit on gloves/boots. essentially i just want to get MoM in. could do it as CI as well or yes even hybrid, but LL would supplement some damage loss by still using malevolence and obviously pain attunement.

I must say that Heist really made me love my trickster starter build so much more.. 4 movement skills, ghostshrouds, elusive on kill and almost instant travel across huge gaps with lightning warp.. having both acro, phase acro and MoM makes most of these oneshots survivable (at least with the right pantheon and ghostshrouds up) but I did get nuked prepatch in lvl 74 or 75 by one of those big meaty "voidballs" or whatever they are and you are not even close to surviving those at 4.5k-5.6k life.. it hit me for almost 7k, I think the patch might have overnerfed the mobs a bit now though... I haven't died in a Heist since it went live.

Have you looked into the alternative quality gems? They have a lot of powerful effects. Creeping frost can fire an extra projectile with the divergent version. Other support gems have more potent damage options. The new gems are still flying under the radar IMO (in terms of YT).

1:55 I just got one shot by that same ability earlier. I walked in front of a door way that had one guy that had cast the ability, (he was in fog of war/off screen so I didn't know this) and he one shot my 5k health with all full res. I was so pissed off. The problem with this mechanic is that it doesn't matter how well you play. The punishment far outweighs the reward and you can play perfectly, but just one mistake that may or may not be your fault, and you lose everything. Add all of that onto PoE's massive abundance of particle effects and you have no fucking clue what you should be dodging.

Im using exactly the same build, and yes, void sphere is good to pull in mobs outside the door. Also i recommend to buy a shield with +1 all cold spells skills. As gloves i use doedres malevolence but its better to use Allelopathy. Thanks for video, ill try that frost shield 👌🏽

It's not just the heist, the excessive offscreen mass projectiles(those plated porcupines are unreasonable...) are making T11+ maps almost impossible. This build was great Act1-10 but I'm getting killed right now and not even 1/2 way through collecting all the watchstones. The lack of mana is also really making this difficult. I have all mana reduction gems but still only a pool of 325 mana and creeping frost cost 81. 6 link high defense armor with 4 blue 2 green cost several exalts....

When doing a contract I would recommend to not fight your way out but escape wherever you can. The monsters are very strong, it takes a lot of time to clear them and it is very risky.

I'm thinking of replacing flame dash with phase walk or some sort of movement ability that hides you, the desync on console has gotten me killed so many times because I'd try flame dashing past the enemies... for it to band back.

Clear was OK even without snakepit/dying sun using GMP but the tankiness is not here, i used ES on block shield being block capped with more than 7000 EHP, Rime gaze with 40% creeping frost damage. Can't OS mob with the mod 50% more life and if you can't OS T14 mob you get nearly OS if you don't block. With this league starter build i could farm and still make curency to invest on an other build

Very simple play style and does what you say it does. Would have to say the play style is a little boring but it is 100% a great league start. Pushed to t16 maps with basically solo self found gear. Looking forward to your beeftain build. I would love to try it.

You held it together much better than I did. I really tried to make heists work but almost ended up throwing my keyboard across the room. With little to no feedback from the game I feel so frustrated. I have crashed at least 6+ times and then I would just die with no ability to know why. I went in making sure I had maxed resistances yada yada yada. I don't know man feels league ending bad to me.

i went with this build, got my trigger wand with 28 coldmulti 80 spell damage and +1 for really cheap first day of league, i went CI as soon as I could, and i skipped glancing blows, i have 9kES with discipline, i have 69/58 block without glancing blows and rumi's flask up, i did try glancing blows with 39/38 block and it felt really bad even at 75/75, i think 69/58 is the way to go, my ES never really moves, i also have fortify on shield charge and immortal call on CWDT. the build feels really good, i could even tank the hiest doors way no problem on ilevel 80 heists before the nerf to them. The build is great, lacks boss damage but i feel with the nerfs to heists difficulty i can maybe switch to low life now, who knows, but CI felt really good, try to get spell damage 10% at least on your shield and you should be able to get to 69/58 pretty easily, i have a perfect rolled rumi's so you will need that. take crae man and great build/leaguestart for sure

Bots don't hit with their little aura. You need a skill or effect that hits with elemental damage. Bots are great for items or skills that trigger on chilled or shocked enemies though.

Long time redditor here, POE reddit is toxic as hell. The moderators don't even understand how upvotes and downvotes are supposed to be used and try to run it like a traditional forum which is the beginning of the cancer that is that sub. I'm playing the Badger variant of this (SS cold snap and creeping frost, curse on hit applied with power siphon) and conquerors are easy, map bosses are sometimes oh whoops was that the boss? haven't hit A8 yet, map sustain isn't easy I must be doing something wrong.

Im lv90 with less than 50c on my build, doing red maps with 3.1k hp plus 2.8k energy shield (almost never die), so idk. Maybe check the gems that u're using and the skill tree on Big Ducks path of building to see if there's something missing. The build worked out fine for me

yeah they patched it, now "one-shot doors" are "two-shot doors" 100% improvement!!! Eat it haters! xD btw I don't even bother with main heist mechanic for the regular heists after leveling up some rogues, I just go up to main target, then from that point I loot everything backwards and by the time the alarm is triggered I'm very close to the exit and can safely escape with the loot, otherwise it is a HIGH RISK LOW REWARD situation.

3.5k HP + 1.5k ES + block chance, doesn't matter though, I play summoner this league and if it wasn't for minions i wouldn't be able to walk out at all not idea how other builds deal with those doors, sure dash+second wind helps but not always

I'm afraid it's a "get good" issue on your part. why would you walk in that doorway with no granite/basalt/endu charges, why not just dash through to create space between you and the mobs? that was a clear misplay on your part.
