This one channel, Dylan Clark, does short films where the characters make smart decisions. I have a headcanon that they take place in the same universe with the same characters (the same actors tend to appear a lot) and they have gotten so used to supernatural events that they've adjusted to not panicking and acting sensibly. Unfortunately for them, the horror of the day always seems to catch them anyway, but I headcanon that they survive anyway offscreen by doing something a few moments after the video ends.

I dont know why but Ive always liked this story and it always annoyed me how in the end he never contacted her after he moved. basement and her attitude aside, she was someone that opened her doors to him and provided unconditionally; worth one phone call a year. that and maybe a wellness check since shes living in fear?
