I was an English teacher at a high school in Warsaw, Poland. I had three students drop my class because they wanted to take Arabic. About 2 weeks later at a staff meeting I finally met the Arabic teacher and realized why they chose her, an impossibly gorgeous Lebanese-Polish woman, over me (male...nice hair, tho). To clarify a couple of things: - We both worked part time (and on alternate days), so we never crossed paths. - Students needed 2 language credits, and the boys who dropped my class were already pretty good at English (and were taking Spanish)

I got my arm ripped off at the shoulder, and as rehab for myself, I studied really hard to not only write again but to write w the most beautiful handwriting ever, and that led to studying the etymology of English, which was bastardized from Germanic, French, Latin, Greek and Arabic, so I learned (and have since forgotten) quite a bit of it. But it's a very lonely area of study, so, hello there. Nice to meet you. 😊

In the fourth grade, we had a teacher who looked like Farah Fawcett. We would ride our bikes to her house just to knock on her door and say hello. She was exactly like Catheryn ZJ. Just full of thoughtful nurturing words that buttered us up with encouragement and compliments. We floated away on our bikes bragging how we could easily romance her as our age, lack of employment, nor experience hadn't any bearing on our future hypothetical plans..LOL

This french teacher is almost a carbon copy of my French professor in college everyone adored. She came straight from Paris and was only here for a year, and she was so beautiful and kind (though somewhat strict with grading) and had this easy charm and genuine friendliness and curiosity. Half the class was a little in love with her and she made fulfilling the mandatory language requirement a bit more fun!

This has got to be one of the best sketches they've ever done. It's not silly or over-the-top or slapstick or gross. It's just well written. Doesn't make you fall over laughing but it's clever and poignant and as good as any scene from a sitcom.
@jdj830

It feels so lived-in, like we know every character and their back story and you can imagine this going on for eight seasons. Everyone really disappears into their roles, and even the set designer paid meticulous attention to detail. I haven’t seen any other SNL skit quite like it.

@ It might not be as laugh out loud as some of the others, but that's not what the OP is saying. This sketch feels like part of a much larger show and it's extremely well written. You know all of the relationships between the characters without them having to explicitly say "How's my ex-wife doing today?" or some other unnatural expository phrase. It feels like a conversation between slightly heightened real people, which is how all of the best sitcoms work - by making you care about the characters as people, rather than just as caricatures or plot objects.

Catherine Zeta-Jones is an amazing talent and an equally amazing woman, she is Welsh but she can convincingly take on the role of French, Spanish, American, or Arabic, pretty much whatever nationality is required of her. That's funny and a familiar feeling. In Secondary school when I was about 14/15 years old a new French teacher who was female came to teach our all boys school. Whenever she wasn't around, or when other teachers were present, the boys would talk quite loudly. But when she came into the room all the boys suddenly turned silent for the whole duration of her teaching, you could hear a pin drop. She was always dressed in some black stockings and black dress and big red lipstick and she had a French accent of course. Once I whispered to a boy next to me "Why is everyone really quiet when she's here?" and the boy replied "because she's hot" hahaha. This happened in around 2007/2008 in Bolton School, England.

My German teacher looked a lot like how Tina fey looks today. She was the sweetest most caring teacher. She was like the mom for all her students, and I swear I would have never taken to the language so well if not her her genuine love for it, and her love for all us students. I can confidently say I’m bilingual.

My 15 year old son just scored 94% on his GSCE biology mock after years getting Bs. Met his new biology teacher last week at parents evening. Yup. Stunning blonde!! His new Classics teacher, however, looks (and behaves!) like the crazy divination teacher from Hogwarts! Yep, his grade dropped from 90s % to a fekking C in one term!!

I had a World History teacher in High School who was in the same 'league' as Catherine ZJ. She liked to shift her weight from one high heal to the other, as she lectured. One day, while doing this, the heel of her shoe broke and she nearly fell over before she regained her composure. She kicked both of her shoes off, said, "Cheap shoes!" and continued lecturing, as if nothing happened!

My German teacher was awesome, and honestly good looking and very healthy for a 60 year old. She also would've told every one of those teachers exactly what she was thinking. The best teacher I've ever had. She had an Oktoberfest party at her house for her students. One year a few of us smoked a blunt in our car and went back, she knew instantly, laughed and offered us food. She also made us sober up before driving of course

I am against Nazis and my cartoon wasn't done to offend but I was just a kid. The boy next to me told me that in some situations I could've been arrested for drawing that cartoon, I was scared after that and learnt my lesson lol
