ABSOLUTELY fraking loved and TRULY enjoyed watching cutscenes vid of Halo 3!!!!! I remember playing this to the end in one day, I honestly thought this is it for the Halo series. To be honest, I'm TRULY glad it isn't the end. Just saying.

I never got to play this game in its prime. I was able to play it in 2013 with some random online people. We had a whole big team battle in customs, and man, I never had so much fun playing a game before and since. Absolutely gem of a franchise. It's truly a shame it's been treated the way it has by HALO STUDIOS (343i in disguise) and Microsoft could have become an even greater juggernaut of a franchise had they actually seen it's worth.

That entire cutscene and the one immediately after it are almost Shakespearian (in terms of both dialogue and plot). Truth gives a sermon, kills Miranda, reveals... the truth, and gives a final damning verdict on humanity. Moments later he's executed by his nemesis while being infected by the flood, which is itself speaking through him and giving a final damning verdict on the covenant. Incredible.

To this day, I don't know why they bothered switching weapons there. We never really see the other soldiers using different weapons unless we make them.

​@@RealTaxiYTPiggybacking off of what you said, I believe it is a combination of this and symbolic of the temporary peace in saying, "Hey, we're physically stronger and faster than you, take our weapons which are stronger, to stay alive, and we will take yours, and use them with our swiftness and strength." Also showing that the Sangheili in some capacity respect human engineering rather than seeing it as a gross abomination conceived from vermin. But truthfully, it's up to interpretation, and in my opinion, that's the timeless beauty of this trilogy of Halo games that can not be surmounted.
